Novotel Gdansk Marina

Maybe this is not the cheapest place in Gdańsk, but in my opinion option with additional breakfast is worth of its price. Hotel has great view at the see, small distance to the nearest beach. The only disadvantage is the public transport, because it pretty not accessible there

Excellent location within 25 minutes walking distance to Sopot and close walk on the promenade to Gdańsk. The hotel offers beautiful sea views snd very good facilities, including swimming pool, sauna, gym, bar and restaurant. Tasty breakfast served as a buffet and delicious dinners are available daily. Plenty of activities for children and teenagers. Very welcoming and friendly staff, especially Mrs Viola, who is always very welcoming, helpful, supportive and offers useful information. I have been visiting the hotel for a over 10 years now and every year it’s been a very positive experience. I would highly recommend the stay at this hotel!

Room is very typical, no big comments. Constant noise during the sleeping hours because of engines working. Most probably, young people do not feel this discomfort but for elder generation it is a trouble. TV aggregate is not a friendly using machine, sometimes you feel that there is a need of a special education. No parking, this means you need to spend additional money. If you want a bathrobe this again costs you additional cash. SPA is not very clean, I would possibly say, just ok. Breakfast (it is a tradition in a whole Poland) is very good. Staff is very helpful, no complaints about it.

So my main issue with this hotel is the reception!!we arrived two days late due to sick child. When we arrived told the room is not ready...I questioned this as we are actually late. The receptionist then informs us that our holiday has been cancelled as we are late...I had pre paid (I had previously called about the possibility of being late and this was not mentioned.) As u can imagine my two children were stood horrified. Anyway after a 5 min talk with manager keys handed over no appology. There was also some kind of pay extra for a white band and perks...never explained to us what this was. The hotel had some animation for the children. My 5 year old loved the afternoon classes and the cinema. My 11 year old loved the tennis lesson. The dude that runs the classes was so funny my 11 year old really enjoyed it. Again though asked the receptionists where the events were taking place no clue..twice me and the kids were sent to a room that was hosting a conference. Check out. Originally I was told everything is fine bye bye. I then questioned about paying for parking. Informed oh yes you need to pay...which I did. The 5 min later the receptionist runs over to say my payment was declined...yeah I paid in cash :/ Hotel....rooms really nice. No wardrobe though. Breakfast was OK-we did miss the old waffle machine...the ones at breakfast were hard. Park was also great. Location is amazing. You walk out the hotel and on the beach. Nice cafes on the beach and 30 min walk to sopot. Restaurant...we found the food nice. My son really enjoyed interactions with the bar staff. We would stay again but think the reception staff need some extra training.

Food in the restaurant really bad. We ordered pizza and it was extremely salty when we ordered Aperol it was water with a dash so aperol and no taste at all. Breakfast was delicious but everything destroyed unfortunately.
