3-Star Hotels in Gero

It was a stay using the prefectural people. Because I had declared on the phone in advance, the check-in procedure and the application of the prefectural people were very smooth. The guide in the building was a foreign national staff, and there was a wall of words, but it was easy to understand all the necessary matters. In addition, the information you received at check-in was also described in the information you were able to go to each large bath and were able to use all three large baths without hesitation. I was very worried about which dinner to make, but Ogawaya was the first time to use it, so I made it a standard meeting seat, but it was correct. You can eat at the private room banquet hall, and the amount and taste are satisfactory. The dinner attendant was also a foreign national, but it was very polite and very good as the guide. The breakfast buffet was also used after 7:00, so it was not particularly crowded, and the seat was also very relaxing. It was a type with an open-air bath on the balcony, so the stay in the room is also very relaxing and recommended. It was a stay without any inconvenience at all. I like the accompanying people very much and I would like to visit again when I go to Gero.

1. I am a frequent traveller to japan. I have been to more than 100 onsen hotels in japan and I am sure that this hotel is the worst onsen in the world! The room is tiny, ugly, not furnished, with a view facing building wall, but the price was over 50,000yen per night. Gosh, It’s exactly like a shared room in a public housing estate!!!!! I understood the price is higher in new year, we do not mind about the price. But the quality of the hotel and customer service are extremely terrible. This is a nightmare in new year! 2. This hotel is definitely cheating. We booked a room on japan website, and the images showed a bigger room with open mountain view. If it was stated in the condition that the room is such poor, I will not book this room with 50,000yen. 3. The attitude of the hotel manger was very bad and terrible. He didn’t respect customers at all. He totally discriminated foreigner, especially customers from hk. He completely ignored us when we said we are disappointed with the room and his service, and asked for changing another room or cancellation. He also totally didn’t know English and needs to be helped from his staff. How can someone like that be the manger/ operator of the hotel? I am very very very very very upset and angry staying in this rubbish hotel! Not becos of the money, but the quality of service! It’s totally rubbish! To all foreign visitors, you should not come this this hotel as they are cheating!

How much Gero Onsen went ... It's slimy and comfortable, but it's impossible to be surprised that bath towels are paid from the second one with one １ sheets. If you are looking forward to the hot springs and use them many times, it takes time to dry the bath towels, and you are looking forward to the hot springs all over the country, and you are going to various hot spring inns, but you don't have to bring bath towels from your room. I used it I was able to use bath towels every time I could. I think there are limits, but if you are told to use up to the second one alternately, you will be happy to get it, but is it charged from the second one? Is it difficult to maintain that much even in a long-established inn? The paid bath towel is disappointing and it cannot be a hot spring facility in Gero Onsen, and there is no next one. Even if you don't expect cooking, the hot spring is Gero Onsen. If the hot spring ♨ is sold, but it becomes more popular than now if it becomes the feeling of the customer? I was sorry that I should have made a reservation in a different place if I knew it.

The stay in Mutsumikan was very good. The Hotel (Ryokan) is very close to the train station. To the center of Gero it takes roundabout 5 minutes by foot. The experience seemed very authentic. Most of the staff understand basic english, so communication was never an issue. Our room was very clean and tidy. Everything you need for a 2 night trip was there. The outdoorbath was pretty small, but that was never an issue with the amount of people staying there. Breakfast and dinner were in a japanese style and very tasty, but maybe not to everyone's palate. Overall the stay was pretty good and I would stay there again.

The location of this hotel is very inconvenient for tourists. Because it's on the mountain, it's very unpleasant without a car. Because the slope to it is very steep, and it is not a slope, there are at least four steep slopes to turn around. Needless to say, it will be tiring to hike with bare hands because you have to carry your luggage, let alone. When it snows, it will be even worse. Therefore, to go to the hotel, you must first call to reserve the hotel shuttle bus. If you don't call, the hotel does not have a car to pick you up. That's not enough. This is one. Second, the fat female manager in the lobby of the hotel, the service is not so friendly, especially the hotel is located on a hillside, which is a very common thing for tourists who want to go to town. Before leaving, there are I wanted to go to the small town for half a day to see if I could store my luggage with her. As a result, she rejected such a large hotel and space very coldly. The refusal doesn’t count. She insisted on recommending us to store our luggage at the railway station. In fact, we also know that the luggage storage at the railway station is charged by time, ranging from 300 to 500 every half an hour. Usually the luggage to be stored is large luggage. , Not portable, the cost starts at least 500 yen, a round trip is not available for 2, 3 hours. So, obviously she was so cold because she was dissatisfied with where we were. Naturally, we would have a big discount on the human touch of the area. As a result, we gave up our desire to buy local products in the town and left directly. Because I didn't feel the warmth, no pictures of the hotel were left.

The lobby on the first floor is large, and a woman in a kimono welcomes you. When I told my name, Mr. Nakai took me to the room, but I rested in a chair until Mr. Nakai came. The room is a 10-tatami mat Japanese-style room, a river side room, a table chair, a refrigerator, and what you would find in a Japanese-style inn. The key to the room is a key type, but two keys were given. There are only two elevators, so we waited a bit depending on the time. [Dinner] It was a room meal, but the contents were 4 appetizers, sashimi, Hida beef, boiled tofu (made by yourself), grilled food, and boiled food. Hida beef is only 3 pieces of 5 mm 4 cm thick. It looks like it's going to be a volume when you first bring it? I thought, but when I tried it, it wasn't so much, and I felt unsatisfactory. [Large public bath] The bath is on the 7th floor. There is a resting place next to the stairs, cold tea at night but not in the morning. There is a dressing room shelf, but there is no dressing basket. Swap men and women in the morning. Each has a different structure (1 indoor bath, 2 open-air baths). There are 8 washrooms, and towels and bath towels should be prepared from the room. Insects come in because the door is open for ventilation. The price of alcohol is high, such as bottled beer 700 yen. The air conditioner cover is off (there is no problem with the air conditioner, it looks bad)

A very homely feel, clean inn. Limited parking lots next to the inn. A bigger car park slightly away from the inn is available. Private onsen can be booked for ¥3,300 a couple, for 45 mins per session A 2-storey inn, no lift. If you have heavy luggage, they will help you carry to your room. Requested for extra pillow and the rattan bedroom was comfy. They have many yukata to choose from, paired with ko-ko shoes & matching rattan bag for your leisurely stroll. From autumn onwards, they have thicker over-coat as well. Staff are from PRC, Malaysia. Speaking Mandarin & English is a breeze.

When I arrived at Gero at 15:15 on the Takayama line, there was a pick-up from other inns, but there was no inn. When I came to Gero pudding on foot, I thought it was different from the place I checked in advance when I saw the signboard of ”Yukai Resort” on the slope behind, but I headed there. I don't know where the entrance is. I found a signboard of Yukai Resort and found it located below, so I went there. １ floor is no elevator in the parking lot. When you go up to ２ floor on the stairs, there is a front door. When you receive an explanation at the front desk, you receive a local coupon ticket 1000 yen. The bathroom is written in 30 minutes on the paper pasted in the indoor and open air ２ places. I don't like it because it is bathing for men and women, but I decide to enter the men's hot water. I take my luggage by foot and elevator to the room. I display yukata yukata and choose it myself. There is no newspaper. There is a store. There is a personal computer corner on the way to the room, and there is a cartoon corner. There is a male group yuuo Ryoma. The key to the door of the room is not chien by pressing the protruding part of the knob. There is a bathroom and toilet across the door. The location of the light switch in the room is near the entrance. Table 1 bag of tea bag of teisu Yu Yu Shirakawa tea. There is no sweets. When you read the explanation sentence, there seems to be a transfer car running between the station and the main building, but there is no night. There is no early morning. It seems that the bathhouse in the main building can be used, but I thought that it was not enough to go because it was different from men and women. The towel is not in the bathroom and is in the open door. There is a refrigerator on the veranda. There is an electric pot. The open-air bath walks on the floor like a golf course. Keys are put in a key locker. There is a washroom. The surrounding scenery is not desired. The checkout costs the bill when you close the key to the screen.

This is a traditional ryokan. The reception was friendly and professional including tea served in your room upon arrival and an orientation as to the various utilities and yukatas. The room was similar to other ryokans we have visited: large with a low table and two chairs in the centre of the room which are replaced by two comfortable futons put into place while we were at dinner. The difference in this ryokan was a small dressing room with a vanity hidden by a natural beam in the corner of the room as well as four upright chairs in front of a long natural beam table in front of the large picture window. I can understand while some reviewers would see the room as being slightly dated with its dark trim but this is offset by bright halls with their floral carpeting and beautiful stained glass windows. As well, the traditional food was superb - artistically prepared and extremely tasty - with multiple dishes served by our gracious hostess. Given the recent investiture of the new Emperor we had a special menu prepared for Year #1 of Reiwa (the name of the Emperor's era). The onsen was equally excellent, with various pools. A great place to start and end the day. All in all an excellent experience.

The dishes, hot springs, hospitality, all were great, and I left the inn after I wanted to come to have a different dish. HIDA beef making was like beef 々 parts were colored 々 and I enjoyed it with the dish. The insertion is also great. The special cultivated rice ”silver cherry blossoms” of Gero cooked in the pot were so delicious that I paid home to Gero city. I am looking forward to the rice.
