The room is spacious with a comfortable, clean bed. The beachfront location offers panoramic views and easy access to Bilbao city center. However, guests were dissatisfied with limited breakfast options and long queues.

Very comfortable clean room. Elena, at check in was very nice and helpful. She even taught us a little Basque. The restaurants below the hotel were very convenient and pleasant, The view of the harbor and sea were magnificent. A really pleasant stay.

Was having a terrible cruise, anyway we docked the night in port and we was bored so we walked along the lovely lit up path next to the beach and called in to this restaurant for a wine. It was £2 for a really nice glass of Rioja. We liked it that much we went the next day for lunch before the ship disembarked and had lovely food, it was the best part of a terrible holiday.

This hotel is being renovated in may 2024. All bars, restaurants are closed during this time. Location is stunning but it was the first hotel I stayed in that one could not get a cup of tea ever. Request to fill a hot water bottle were refused. Hotel is not suitable for elderly as there is a challenging hill to train station

+ Positive: Hotel in right on the beach, room was big with comfortable bed..... that's all. - Negative: Hotel was "dead"!!! No staff, no service, no reception, no bar, no restaurant, no people.....it felt like abandoned place 🙈 We had big regrets booking this place, it's not a 4* Hotel....It has potential to be a 4 star, but at the moment its just an abandoned building on the beach.

This is a good one....Arrived at the hotel with my son on an evening around 6 o'clock after a 4 hour drive from Madrid. and a previous flight from Ireland.Early start at 4 am for myself and my 8 year old son.t was almost a record high temperature of 35 degrees. We pulled up to the Parking area to find no access without first going in to the hotel. We went to the door to find that there was no one at reception and we had to enter with a PIN that had been sent to me by email. I collected the envelope left on the reception desk and started to look for someone to open the Parking barrier.Eventually a waiter at the bar(when we found it,as all the other large rooms on the main floor were absolutely empty of all furnishings).said he would come out and open the barrier. We parked the car ,made our way up to the room and were hit by the heat inside the room.Immediately I turned on the A/C, only to find that instead of cooling the room it was pumping in even more hot air. I went down to the waiter and made my point only to be told that there was no one there to take care of the matter but there was a phone number stuck on the window at the front door to call in case of any EMERGENCIES. I called one of the 2 numbers and no one answered. After insisting on both numbers eventually the owner picked up and told me she would send someone to look at it but it was a very hot day....Oh come on!!!!!!!!We went off for a walk and returned to expect the matter resolved. It was not....I called a few times again and eventually she answered and said they would change my room. We moved our luggage and left for dinner.Upon returning we found the same problem as before. It was too late we were very tired and the only solution was to leave the door open slightly to the terrace although it was not a great relief as the weather had turned and sand was now being blown from the beach.(A local weather phenomenon which happens only a few times a year). The next morning tried to make a coffee from the machine (after having almost 0 sleep) hidden behind the curtain only to find stale water in it and it made some kind of coffee but not much less transparent than just water.I called reception to ask for a coffee only to be brought another 3 refills for the unfunctioning machine.I gave up. We went down to the bar for breakfast ,sat down and there was a COCKROACH on me.I brushed it off and quickly dispatched it.PLEASE REFER TO ATTACHED PHOTO) We reported this to one of the bartenders and left to have breakfast else where. Upon our return to the hotel we hastely packed our bags and waited for the Manager/Owner to arrive and stated our complaints. She apologised and upon my insistance and her disability to argue with the issues ,gave me a 50% discount. This was something but this should have not been charged by any means. Save your money . They should be stripped of the 4 star rating immediately or at least reinspected . I would sleep in a car before stepping foot in that hotel again.

We went to ha have a coffee. I asked for a tea and I was served a hot milk with a tea bag, orange and something else. When I told the waiter that I just wanted a tea. He began to shout at me. I’m a. Spanish and I’m embarrassed about the customer service in my country. Please, don’t ever ask for a tea in Spain.

Terrible service. Supposedly 4 star hotel. No regular reception, only at certain times. If you have problems with the key you have to call an emergency number and wait for them to come and fix it. There is no cafeteria, nor breakfast. Sunken mattresses, totally abandoned appearance, rooms stinking of tobacco, pillows, bed linen, walls, curtains. It wasn't like that before, but curiously they maintain the rating and charge as if it were a 4 star hotel. Let's see if the official bodies read the reviews. It's not the only bad one.

In the restaurant of this hotel, called Casa Bassa, they serve tiny portions, and they are generous. In any other bar, for the price they charge you for three olives and aioli from a jar, they will give you two tapas or much more abundant portions. I will not return to this restaurant for the rest of my life. The service was very good, but the manager was not.
