La Guardia Hotel

La Guardia Hotel in Giglio Island is the ideal place to stay for anyone visiting this beautiful island. The location is fantastic, right by the port, with amazing views over the ocean and harbor. We stayed in a deluxe room with a balcony, and the views were absolutely spectacular – we couldn’t have asked for a better spot to relax. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. While the amenities are somewhat limited, the natural beauty of the island makes up for it, and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring all that Giglio has to offer. Breakfast was simple yet delicious, with fresh local options to start the day on a high note. One highlight of our stay was the excellent service in the restaurant, where the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially when it came to our infant daughter. It made our dining experience even more enjoyable. While the front desk staff were polite, we found them to be a bit less friendly than we had hoped. That said, they were still helpful, and we appreciated their assistance during our stay. Overall, La Guardia Hotel was a great choice for our time on Giglio Island. The views, location, and overall atmosphere were wonderful, and we would definitely return if visiting the island again. Highly recommend!

The best part of our stay in Italy. We stayed in Rome and Florence as well. Beautiful water! We had our best meals on the island also. Entire staff were just so friendly and helpful. The restaurant was our favorite breakfast and dinners. Can’t wait to return.

I traveled here with my husband and two teenagers, and we really enjoyed our stay. The pre-arrival communication with the front desk wa excellent, and they were extremely helpful and communicative during our stay, as well. The views from the rooms are outstanding, and we loved the aperitivo/restaurant area. The bar staff was so friendly. There is a small private seating area outside near the public beach with a few chairs, which is really handy, and the hotel provides beach towels. Rooms are comfortable, even if the hotel is a bit noisy (easy to hear people in hallways/doors slamming) - but it didn't really disrupt our sleep. Breakfast was good. Location is perfect. I wish the hotel provided conditioner along with the shampoo. I would recommend this hotel to others and would definitely return.

One of the best parts of our 12 day Italy trip was Giglio and it was mainly because of this hotel and the amazing owners! We did a cooking class with them, in their home, and enjoyed it immensely!! All of the staff, and the island residents, were so kind and welcoming!

Giglio is ideal laidback place, and this hotel is the place to stay. Renovated a few years back. Clean and sleek. Helpful staff starting with Franseca. Good breakfast. Swimming in sea right in front. Few Americans on island and those in hotel seemed conscious of desire of everyone to get away from tourists. A really pleasant relaxing experience thanks to Franseca and the hotel. Grazie

I can't recommend this place more highly. From the service to the accommodations to the location to the food, you can't do better in Giglio. Anything you want to do on the island, they will help facilitate. They arranged for us to rent a boat with Relaxing Boat (terrific! def recommend) and gave us ideas for idyllic hikes. They have the best bread on the island (BY FAR), the included breakfast is insanely good, and the restaurant is definitely our fave on the island with the best location (and not overpriced like hotel restaurants in the States). Once you get off the ferry, you literally just roll your suitcases three minutes down the boardwalk and you're there. The rooms are small but well-designed and well-appointed. The linens and soaps are of super high quality. But all this said, the staff are the real stars. Just wonderful, kind, helpful people.
