Premier Inn Gloucester (Quayside)

The usual great Premier Inn stay. Rooms clean and tidy, a great night's sleep in the comfortable bed as ever. This is a great location for The Quays which is a nice place to wander around or sit and people watch, it also has a number of very popular looking restaurants. Pre-booked breakfast was across the car park from the hotel but was very nice. Special thanks are due to Logan who was working front of house in the restaurant today and despite it being very busy she worked tirelessly to keep everything topped up and the tables clear and clean, she is a real asset to the business and very patient.

Well... it's a premier inn, so doesn't differ too much from other premier inns- you know what you're getting: a decent bed in a functional room, in a decent location. This ticked all the boxes. Free parking was great, although limited at the weekend. We splashed out (slightly) by getting an executive room, which was just about worth it- as we got a fridge, coffee machine (but no biscuits!) and the room was slightly nicer. Wifi was slow, and it didn't seem that we could get ultimate wifi despite getting an upgraded room? Air con worked well but seemed to turn off in the night, but the bed was comfortable and the electrical sockets plentiful :-) The blackout blinds were good too. The only downside was that breakfast was poor. I usually like a premier inn breakfast, but they had just 1 (!) waitress on- on a Saturday. Stop penny pinching!! It meant that tables were half cleared, breakfast items half replenished and a wait to get a table. Felt sorry for the waitress on, she was overworked. The breakfast we did get was ok, just not much of what we wanted. And apparently a worldwide shortage of orange juice (?) Would stay here again as it's not bad for the price and near family, but we'd eat breakfast at Bill's next time!

Room was tired and shabby. Bed was small and uncomfortable. Breakfast was awful, eggs and hash brown not cooked and beans cold. No decaf coffee or tea bags. Toaster didn’t work. Car parking was good and good location. Handy for designer outlet.

We stayed two nights in a top floor premier plus room which was fine. Had all we needed clean and comfortable. It's a bit like a deserted village hardly any staff around automated check in..no one in reception area. We made a mistake by booking breakfast here for 2 mornings. The dining room being deserted should have warned us! The first day wasn't too bad but today's experience was awful. No one to book you in then a workman in a dirty hi viz and bobble hat appeared ( turns out he was the chef! No sign of a waitress to have tea or coffee eventually saw one who brought us two mugs with tea bags no sugar or milk..she didn't look very happy ! The food had been there for a while one egg dried up and no one at all around. The " chef" appeared still in his dirty hi viz and offered to cook us 2 which he did. We ate what we could but certainly wasn't an enjoyable experience. Stay in the rooms by all means it's convenient for lots of places but eat out don't waste your money! Plenty of eating places in the near vicinity

I've stayed at Premier Inn Gloucester (Quayside) many times before and always have a nice quiet and pleasant stay. The hotel is very convenient for the Quays and the city. The hotel is clean and well presented. The staff are friendly and efficient.
