Stopped in Gmunden for two nights solo after travelling with a friend. I wanted a place to relax, enjoy the scenery, but still have a few things to see and this fit the bill perfectly! I went back and forth on whether to give 4 or 5 stars, but went with 5. Reason for 4: Rooms a bit dated, limited amenities, and no A/C. Reason for 5: Despite age of furnishings and design, room was clean and furniture in good condition; shower had good pressure. It was abnormally hot in August, but I was able to shut the sun out in the day, open windows at night and I had a fan delivered promptly so I slept well. In addition, I was upgraded to a double room with the best view that was just what I wanted! They also let me check-in a couple of hours early. I got food from the grocery store and enjoyed it from the balcony (hotel gladly gave me cutlery) - better view than any restaurant in town! I even got a bit of a fireworks show one night! Location is ideal - It is literally in the very centre across from the Town Hall - 15 minute walk to mountain lift; about 20 to Schloss Ort; and about 25 to the Strandbad pool (take your own towel); tram from station stopped outside. Breakfast was fantastic! Charming room with everything you need including cappuccino and sparkling wine! I doubt I’ll be back to Gmunden in the near future, but I would stay again and would recommend. It was a perfect spot to relax and decompress before heading home and back to the real world!

Friendly and very polite staff, parking for the car with extra money of course, bus to hallstatt and back, beautiful backyard with a swimming pool, very good breakfast, and if you ask to have a lake view is perfect! need to say more? One of the best!

This is a lovely hotel beautifully situated on the northern shore of Lake Traunsee. It is easily accessed by train and tram. Parking is available but there is a charge. Rooms vary in size but ours were bright, modern and with lovely lake views. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant serves lunches and dinners which were also very good. In warm weather the terrace bordering the lake is open. It is a good place from which to explore the locality by public transport.

立地はとても良かったですが、それ以外は特筆することはありません。部屋はリノベーションされており、綺麗で広かったですが、かなり殺風景でした。アメニティはほぼありません。 部屋にエアコンがついていないためかなり暑く、窓を開けることが必須ですが、夜間は外がかなり騒がしく過ごしにくかったです。 スタッフには嫌な思いはしませんでしたが、特に良い思いもしていません。朝食も簡素でした。四つ星ホテルだと思わず宿泊される方がよいと思います。

Wir waren nur unten im Restaurant was essen was auch sehr gut geschmeckt. Aber die Bestellung wurde nach mehrmaligen Ansagen immer noch falsch zu Tisch gebracht.Hatte dann keine Lust mehr und hatte es dann so hingenommen. Hat sich am Trinkgeld ausgewirkt. Wir fanden die Angestellten waren sehr überfordert bzw. wollten alle gleichzeitig Zuviel und dadurch kam es zu einem durcheinander.

Wir waren zwar keine Hotelgäste, haben aber bereits zum zweiten Mal das Restaurant besucht. Dieses Restaurant liegt direkt am Traunsee in Gmunden direkt beim Rathausplatz. Es bietet eine super Location und hervorragendes Essen. Auch das Service ist ausgezeichnet. Wir haben beide Male unseren Aufenthalt genossen.

Das Hotel ist alt. Das Zimmer, das ich hatte, war modernisiert und bot viel Platz mit Blick auf den Traunsee. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Glücklicherweise war noch ein Parkplatz des Hotels frei. Das öffentliche Parkhaus in der Nähe muß aufgrund seiner Enge eine Katastrophe sein. Auf dem Zimmer gab es kein WLAN. Also weder langsames WLAN noch WLAN mit schlechter Verbindung, sondern kein WLAN! Das ist in der heutigen Zeit untragbar. Deshalb gebe ich nur 2 Sterne.
