Golmud Hotels with Airport pickup service

This is one of the better quality options in Golmud (there aren’t many). The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good. Unfortunately, the service was very poor - there were no functioning USB ports in the room and the hotel was unhelpful - seeming unwilling or unable able to offer a solution. The “room service” is actually takeaway food delivered from outside the hotel but no cutlery/chopsticks was provided with it. When we asked the hotel to provide some, it took nearly 20 minutes to arrive (longer than the food itself), by which time the food was getting cold. We had to ask repeatedly for sufficient drinking water, having only been provided two small bottles for two people. Aside from the poor service, the hotel is in an odd location, surrounding by closed shops and building sites - nowhere near the commercial centre of the city - with nothing within walking distance. With the right management, it could be an excellent hotel, but it’s not quite there at the moment.

This is the best hotel I stayed in when I came to Qinghai. The front desk lady was very enthusiastic and gave me Hilton welcome cookies. She patiently told me about the hotel network. I originally booked a room without breakfast, but later I was given a free breakfast. The room was also very clean, with central air conditioning and humidifier. It is around the business district. It is very convenient to go anywhere, and it is not noisy. The sound insulation is also very good, and there is free parking. The front desk checked in quickly, and the introduction was very detailed. There were souvenirs for check-out. It is really a very warm hotel. The feeling is very good.
