First of all: The lady at the reception was friendly and gave us tips. The hotel itself, however, fell far short of our expectations. The building smells either of old furniture and old carpeting or (towards the ground floor/basement and "wellness area") of damp. Our double room was small and on the street side and heated up quickly during the night (although it wasn't particularly hot). Opening the window was not possible because of the street noise and the many flies. Despite room service, the room never felt clean, was tidied and smelled of dust and old furniture. The inside of the closet smelled so musty that we didn't want to hang our clothes up there. The "wellness area", called Relax-Stüber, is in the basement next to the ski and bike room. We only went to the sauna once and left quickly afterwards because the area is not inviting. The ceiling is about 2 meters high, generally dark and cramped, the whirlpool had no water, the cold pool did but didn't look clean (see photos). It's a shame, because one of the reasons we booked this hotel was to have a program for bad weather. At breakfast you are asked to put your own dishes away. The breakfast itself was OK, but it would have been better to have less choice but higher quality products. The bread tasted stale, and some of the fruit did too. The pastries were fresh.
