Grand Ring Hotel

This is a poor hotel that if you complain they will put pressure on you to re write the review (I’m not exadurating this as I was summoned to the reception to justify my comments). “Ah, the Grand Ring Hotel – where ‘5-star luxury’ clearly means something very different. If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to step into a 2-star hotel that dreams of being 5 stars, book your stay here immediately. First, let’s talk about the food. Imagine a buffet that takes the term ‘all-inclusive’ a little too literally: everything included, except flavor. Who knew that chicken could taste like rubber and potatoes like they’d spent the night soaking in salt water? And for breakfast, nothing says ‘fine dining’ like stale pastries paired with watered-down coffee. Bon appétit! The rooms? They were clearly inspired by those “vintage” motels on the side of highways, with walls thin enough to hear every detail of your neighbors’ midnight arguments and beds that might have been soft…in 1985. If you enjoy sleeping on what feels like an ironing board with sheets, you’re in luck! And the amenities – oh, they’re just as ‘luxurious’ as the rest of the place. Pool towels that double as sandpaper, a interior that hasn’t seen an update since the Cold War, and a ‘spa’ that felt more like a public sauna. As for cleanliness, let’s just say you’ll want to bring your own disinfectant. Or maybe a hazmat suit. Staff? Well, if you love the cold charm of disinterested service, you’re in for a treat. I think I even managed to get a whole two-word response from the front desk once, which might be a record. In short, if you’re hoping for a 5-star experience, try the hotel down the road. But if you’re in the mood for a ‘delightful’ 2-star experience with the label of 5-star, the Grand Ring Hotel awaits!”

On arrival, which was around 11pm, first impressions were good. We were greeted by a member of staff who wheeled our cases in to the hotel and to our room for us, showed us to our room and explained how the safe worked etc after reception checked us in quickly and smoothly. The daytimes at the pool with the slides were good, we didn’t struggle to find a sun lounger - despite a lot of them being reserved from early in the morning, the pool bar had a good selection of drinks, the staff were all really friendly and helpful and were constantly cleaning around the pool which included clearing any excess water from the pool which was a slip hazard. Unfortunately, for us, that’s where the good ended. Our room was not a 5 star standard which this hotel is supposed to be. Whilst I appreciate that standards are different in different countries, I’ve stayed in 3 star hotels with better rooms. The curtains weren’t clipped at the top, which on its own is nothing but there was also a hole in the wall with wires in it, we’re not sure if they were live or not and luckily we weren’t travelling with children who could easily have pulled on them. The bathroom, on first glance looked fine, but then we noticed that the pipe draining water away from the air con was running into the shower, again, not a massive issue. Except for the fact that it doesn’t look as though it’s been cleaned in a very long time and the water dripping from it pooled into the shower and didn’t drain away. The bathroom in general just didn’t feel very clean at all. Of the 5 nights we ate at the restaurant we only managed to eat a decent meal on one of those nights. The other 4 nights weren’t great, we mostly ate just chips. We aren’t fussy eaters in the slightest, but we found quite a bit of the food wasn’t labelled and we at least like to know what it is we’re eating. We were also practically pushed out of the way by other guests in the hotel who didn’t seem to have any patience or just manners in general and when we did manage to find a bit of food we liked the look of it was cold by the time we got it to our table. Luckily, the snack bar did burgers and chips at lunch time (with a bit of salad and fruit and I think there was pizza available also) so we managed to get 1 decent meal a day (we’re not massive breakfast eaters at home so can’t comment on that as we didn’t go for breakfast). I ended up buying noodles from a nearby shop to have in the evening just to make sure I’d eaten something. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, which is a shame because on paper it has everything we were looking for. But in reality, we found that it didn’t, which is sad when you spend all year looking forward to your holiday and it doesn’t live up to expectations. And, before the hotel replies with the same comment that I’ve seen on other reviews, no where when booking did I see that this is a “low cost hotel”, nor would I have booked it if I’d have known in advance that it doesn’t live up to the sta

hotel average, food edible without any excesses, drinks undrinkable only sweet, beer like water, attractions apart from dancing blacks and dancers from venezuela very weak attractions. in general opinion this is a hotel ideal for people +50.

My vacation started not so good with a wrong room, but then my problem was resolved very professionally and fast from the manager of reception.I have been in a lot of 5 stars hotels and I can say they all have their unique style and difference, What made me a big impression here is how the people work - they give full effort for the satisfaction of the customer. Everytime I see the stuff mopping, cleaning, rearranging. I am impressed from the aroma they use , when you enter the hotel, no matter where you are, even in the toilets smells of this fresh Parfum. How they take care of the gardens and flowers. They water and spray the whole day ! In every minute the stuff is working! The nice attitude towards the cats around-lovely! I say people with hearts take care of all your needs in Grand Ring so I recommend it Something very important for me I heard very rare German language here - and I found it great! You can all use the international languages English and Russian

Absolutely amazing holiday, beautiful rooms and great facilities. The staff were amazing especially AK, Jose (entertainment team) and the bar staff in the lobby bar they could not do enough for us. Only returned yesterday and already looking to book our next holiday there - will go longer next time.

A sold 4 star holiday! Just came back last week from staying five nights at this lovely hotel in Kemer Antalya. Have to say before I went the reviews were horrific but we were a party or 22 people and we had a fabulous holiday! All the staff in the reception and spa were ever so helpful and really friendly the manager was lovely and helpful. The staff were always willing to help and the rooms were cleaned and fridge was topped up daily. The food was great there was something for everyone including a Turkish night with delicious chops and donner meat. For people who left reviews saying there was no meat let me tell you there is always dishes with either meat or chicken plus options for vegetarian. The hotel also has a great pool bar which was open from 12-4pm so if you miss lunch you would definitely be able to pick up some food there and the bars were great there was always water bottles readily available everywhere and and the Aryaans which really helped us. The beach was nearby just across the road or through a tunnel either way it’s a few minutes walk but although the beach was pebbly there were lots of excursions right on the beach such as Jetcars jet ski paragliding which was awesome. The only down fall is the AC in the rooms four of our rooms ac was not working very well and on the last day after sufferering my sons skin flared up because of the heat but on the last day they changed the remote and the ac worked absolutely fine if only someone was able to suggest that in the first night or two then we would definitely give it a 5 star. Thank you to all the team at the Grand ring hotel including the life guards who were really helpful and the animation we will definitely be returning soon!
