On arrival at 1.30am, after a rubbish flight and the longest transfer ever we were greeted with a smile and informed a small buffet had been put out for us. We wasn't expecting anything but we were hungry and this was a nice touch. Our room was large with a fantastic view of the sea and the sounds of the ocean on the balcony. The next morning we found the hotel to be very modern and clean. The pool area was very nice and enough sun beds for all. The small beach area, used by locals was lovely. There were works on the promenade which were noisy at times but not enough to spoil the holiday. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Towels in the room were changed every few days but if you catch the cleaner and ask she will change them outside of these days. Food was basic, I'm very fussy but always found something to eat, it's not easy to provide for all nationalities. There seemed to be lots of German and Norwegian guests, British guests were the minority, kids seemed to rule and the entertainment room was focused on entertaining them up to 9pm. There wasn't really much for adults and we found the evenings quite boring and was disappointed with this. Maybe we need an adult only hotel next time. The TV had only one English channel BBC news, you wasn't able to link your phone or tablet. Be careful outside the hotel we met a lady who had been scammed by someone selling her orthopedic saddles for 200 euros. You get what you pay for, don't expect too much, chill out and make your own experience, overall we had a lovely holiday but we wouldn't return.

Staff very efficient but lacked connection. A smile and friendly enquiry or two about our holiday would have been nice. Rooms were spotless and view amazing. Sunsets from balcony and top bar were glorious. Cleaning staff were all lovely and always smiled and said hello. Such a shame reception and waiting staff did not do the same. Coastal path refurbishment a bit of a pest but can’t be helped. Wellness suite was absolutely amazing and free! Lovely after a day in the sun and really did make the actual hotel special, especially as situated in quiet residential area with not much to do. Food good, when you take into account the variety of visitors. Fruit and salads really fresh. Desserts a bit bland but coffee machines were great. All in all, fab break for a week but would not fancy longer or in high season!

Our second time at this hotel. It was still good, but fell below our previous experience. Firstly, the hotel is beautiful with an excellent sea view, when you upgrade, or are lucky. The seafront location is superb. Always clean and the spa is fantastic. On the first day, I reported a problem with the rear gate, to the beach access. I was given a new card, which also didn't work. Many other people got locked out too. Reception gave me various reasons, including, "Nobody else has complained, "It is broken and will be fixed", "Card has to be removed and inserted multiple times". The day before we left, after nearly 2 weeks, they just disabled the need for a card. Having to walk around to the front, next to a road, in beach wear, (or, if you are disabled), is not acceptable. One lady I spoke with reported the issue to her Tui rep, after nearly a week of complaining to reception daily. Red wine bottle in the bar, was instructed to be hidden behind the bar, allegedly by "boss man", according to bar staff. Pool bar food is sufficient, but why serve on tiny paper plates, more suitable for a child's party. One plate takes only the roast chicken and chips need another plate. Plates will not survive cutting the chicken, so another is needed underneath it. Reported to reception that a small side plate on the buffet was serving a cooked mussel on top, but with tiny uncooked grey prawns mixed in with chopped salad. Elevators were often not working at full capacity and staff had to use customer lifts too. Unfortunately, promenade works were going on. Not the hotels fault, and Jet2 did inform us, but still unbearably loud at times, with tons of shoring-up rocks being dropped from a wagon. Despite these issues, the hotel is good and we overall enjoyed ourselves. My overall feeling is that if management standards slip further, they may jeopardise repeat bookings.

Just returned from a great holiday at Bull Dorado. The hotel is great and should be more than 3 star. Food was excellent. Staff friendly and polite. Room was lovely and cleaned regularly. Pool area very clean with comfortable sun beds. The Spa looked amazing but we didn’t use it as spent our time in the sun. Drink quality was superb and premium quality. Plenty of activities to take part in if required. Would definitely visit again.

Great views, clean apartments and a varied evening entertainment. The food was sufficient, but quite bland and we would have liked a slightly finer dining experience. The hotel staff were particularly nice and everything worked as it should. The hotel deserves a fourth star.

Good hotel in general okay condition, nicely located in Arguineguin with full sea view. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Facilities are good - nice pool area and good spa. Seems to cater for the 60+ segment and to some extent families with children, but not overcrowded with kids. Beware of a lot of traffic noise heard in bedroom part, where doors a not sound proof. Hotel is very lenient when it comes to smoking, so if you are a non-smoker you could end up having chainsmokers as your neighbors, making the time on the balcony somewhat smoky

I went again to spend a week at Dorado Beach, as I have done every year since 2013, usually first week in December. It was a bit disapointing last year (and a couple of other times), but this year it was a disaster. First and formost because of the room they gave me: On the first floor, in a corner, with no view at all, except a wall, a treetop and the backside of an elevator. I had never payed as much for a week before, 2000 Euro + 200 for transportation an hotel before departure. And I payed for a 2-room, to be sure to get the view I wanted: towards the pool, as most if nok all 2-rooms in this hotel do. As it was for me only (friends had their own), I could have taken a 1-room flat. Cheaper and big enough, but I know they turn the other way, towards trafic and a glimps of the sea. I ran to reception the minute I saw what they had given me. "That room could not be for guests paying full prize"? And the reception had joked about all guests travelling with out comapny (Ving) would get pool-view, since I told them what I was longing for, before the 4 hours we had to wait. Didn't get the room before 16/4 o'clock. Complaints did not help. The two in the reception on the contrary got rude and angry. You did not pay for any view they told me, nasty people. And the hotel is full. No it was not. There were few people on the sunbeds and in the restaurants, every day! Even with nice friends around, my mood was at the bottom all week. I did not help with small insects crawling in the bathroom, and on the nightstand table. And it did not help getting food-poisoning, and spending 24 hours in the toilet, and ill feeling dobel up the rest of the stay. I meet friends, every time I go there, after all these years. But how could I ever go back to this hotel?

Stayed here for two weeks as a family of 5. We stayed on the seventh floor and had a bit of a mixed experience with the hotel. The good bits, the poolside bar which cooked food to order with a decent selection. I felt sorry for the staff here who seemed to have multiple tasks to do continuously, yet they never seemed flustered. Branded spirits are included with all inclusive. The views from the hotel are great, you can see Tenerife on a clear day. There are plenty of beaches nearby, however the closest one to the hotel was covered in fag ends and is very popular with the locals on the weekend. Though we did enjoy feeding the fish at this beach and there are lots of crabs too. Anfi Del Mar was our favourite beach which is around a 25 minute walk, or €5 taxi, €2.80 bus (number 1, 9, 91). The staff are all friendly, particularly the three entertainers (Alba, Sabina and Yasmin) who went out of their way with our children. There is a variety of activities and a market on Monday evenings with hairbraiding and jewellery. The spa was also an added bonus with kids allowed to use the indoor pool between 10-12. Oh and we were also treated to a couple of random fashion shows around the pool which I found amusing although the older female guests appeared to enjoy them. The wifi is good, the whole hotel is covered including the nearest beach although it go down a few times whilst we were there (the worst was for two days which was outside of the hotels control). The bad bits, the lifts. When going down from the 7th floor to the first, one of the lifts would stop at the third but the doors wouldn’t open and then it would start again and end up at -1 (spa floor) where the doors would open. I thought it was just me but it wasn’t. I often had to wait several minutes for a lift to appear, particularly in the mornings. The single glass lift actually seemed to be quicker although unfortunately that broke on our last few days. The evening food choice wasn’t great, the ‘themed nights’ weren’t very obvious with perhaps three dishes offered. You’re lucky to find a table when heading to the restaurant at later times for breakfast and dinner, they ran out of high chairs at peak times. The music by the pool was a hotel playlist which was repeated each day. Whilst i didn’t mind the music (in fact it would be great if the hotel could provide a list of songs) after two weeks it did become a bit annoying, especially when the kids started picking up on the swear words. On Mondays there was no speaker wheeled out as it’s the entertainers day off so the atmosphere isn’t great, there were no activities at all. We had a mixed experience with the miniclub. The kids loved it and spent a lot of time there but you’re supposed to supervise the children and not leave them unattended - so if you’re looking for a drop off and go kids club, this resort isn’t for you. There is a soft play but this leads me to the biggest criticism, the cleanliness of the resort. Whilst the rooms are kept ni
