Went there on an all inclusive day pass. When we reached there the security didn’t allow our transport to drop us off at the hotel entrance as we are on a day package. We had to walk from the security to the hotel reception. Such a shameful welcome. When asked why we are being denied drop off while we saw another car getting in, the security said that for us we can’t have this, and she doesn’t know why, she is just following the protocol and if we have any query to go complain to the reception. So we went to the reception, and I asked to talk to the manager, Mr shiv, the ‘rudest’ receptionist told us to tell him that he will take our complaint himself. First of all, this is rude when I want to talk to the manager, I should be able to talk to him and not be forced to tell my complaint to anyone. Anyhow, we told him our experience, and instead of understanding us, he told us this is a decision of the management, and it is like this. That only residents are allowed to have dropoff. The audacity to say such a stupid thing is unbelievable. We were guests, we paid for the package and he is doing as if we are coming for free. For someone working at the reception he doesn’t have basic customer interaction etiquette. Bref, the bad experience goes on, went to the bar to order drinks and they were very basic. Asked for a few snacks, again was denied as they don’t serve any thing to accompany drinks. I’ve been to a lot of mauritian hotels, they always serve a little bit of peanuts, olive etc but here nothing. The list continues. Went for tea time, my goodness, horrible experience Pancake, cakes were so bad, the worst was the tea. They tell you to take your tea bag, and they don’t even provide milk, do they even know how a proper english tea is prepared. They should not call it tea time when they give you only water with tea bag, it should be tea infusion time😂 So don’t go there, if you don’t want to feel like a worthless. Specially applicable for Mauritian residents
