I recently booked into a 2 bedroom suite that I had booked last minute after calling ahead to confirm it would be quiet, and suit our needs for a peaceful relaxing day/evening. Unfortunately, the experience was the opposite of what was promised. The suite was noisy, surrounded by rowdy and intoxicated guests, and felt more like a Big4 holiday park than a relaxing getaway. This was very disappointing, as the whole point of booking a suite - and confirming the quiet beforehand - was to enjoy a peaceful stay, lounge by the pool and relax (pool was filthy, deck was tatty and the groups had set up boom boxes and were enjoying BYO cases of corona!) We were able to move, but to a much smaller room, which was annoying, only to be woken at 3am by a drunk guest trying to get into our room (his lodgings were next door) I would strongly suggest clearer communication about the environment for future guests, and if there is a large group or groups staying, perhaps block the remaining rooms, instead of maximizing occupancy, as this experience was not at all what was expected or advertised. The front desk staff were amazing, but even with a "heavily" discounted rate - It was still not worth the price or the stress. Front Desk told me to call them Directly to book, as they wanted to make it right - apparently we would receive a special 10% discount, that only they could offer, 3 days later a generic “come back email was sent” offering 10% off! Dinner was dreadful and I am quite unsure how they have any hats, it was basic precooked food, with a fancy name and description for example “Gatton ghost gully leaves + smokehouse dressing” translated to a bowl of lettuce, which was clearly from a bag (we saw them opening it in the kitchen) and had not one iota of dressing! - similar with the mains, what turned up was far from the promise on the menu - my favourite part was when we left.

We went for breakfast on Anzac Day, which is a special day for me. I had a mushroom based dish. Unfortunately, the mushrooms took quite a bit of chewing, which detracted from the dish. I'm glad I still have all my own teeth. Coffee was really good and the service impeccable. Great view from the outside deck where we ate. The bill was eye watering.

Delightful 2 night stay. Spicers did not put a foot wrong. Tastefully designed property. Lots of history. We did not leave the grounds as found enough to do. Enjoyed the pool and spa to own briefly each day as well as the bath on our private deck overlooking bush. Loved breakfast and 3 course dinner included in our package. We returned for dinner again the second night because it was delightful. Convenient ability to drop bags at private house before parking.

We stayed at Spaces Hiddenvale for one night the room we had was very spacious. Very big nice balcony overlooking the valley. The the bed was very comfortable and the apartment was very clean. The restaurant was excellent. The food was very tasty and flavoursome and all the staff were very attentive. Breakfast was excellent very nourishable and very tasty.

Went for Mother’s Day breakfast at the Barn, food was beautiful the setting was stunning but the staff are so unfriendly that it makes the atmosphere very uncomfortable. Their attitude was one of being inconvenienced by customers they don’t smile they’re not at all welcoming so probably won’t bother going back also the paper packaged wooden cutlery is very low class and ineffective for its purpose.

The homestead which houses the reception, bar and dining area is stunning. A beautiful free standing stone fireplace is surrounded by comfy sofas to snuggle into. The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. The food was well presented and delicious with care taken to meet dietary needs. Great activity options, we did archery, scotch tasting and the market garden tour.

We were in Australia for 3 weeks from the U.S. The koala safari at Spicers Hidden Vale was a highlight of our trip! Seeing koalas (and their joeys!) in their own habitat was thrilling. And our guide Kristen (sp?) was so friendly and knowledgeable. We'd highly recommend this to anyone visiting the Brisbane area!.

We spent a few magic days at Spicers Hidden Vale for my birthday and I couldn’t have loved it more! The location and views of the hills are stunning and there is a magic feeling the place gives that words can’t describe. All of the staff were exceptional, genuinely warm and welcoming, which is not common these days - a special thank you to Adam, Te, and Kristen. We loved the wine tasting experience, enjoyed the 7.5km walking trail spotting kangaroos and wallabies, loved feeding the animals, and the market garden tour was fantastic. The main pool is a great size for relaxing by or swimming some laps, we didn’t get to tennis this time but we will next time! The main homestead has so much space to relax and read or play games. The room and bathroom were stunning, every detail thoughtfully put together. Last but definitely not least, the food is incredible! The a la carte breakfasts contained beautiful produce and were the perfect size, whilst the evening meals were divine. Our favourites were the quail entree and the Toowoomba king Angus fillet main. Highly recommend this stunning retreat and can’t wait to come back again!
