Check in was easy and service was very friendly. The pool was a little dirty but warm. We weren't given any hand soap, shampoo, or bath soap for the room but had no problem getting it from the front desk when we asked. Overall we were happy with our stay and would definitely stay again.
Hampton Inn Pittsburgh/Greentree I apologize in advance for the lengthy review but I needed to warn other people about this place, specially Hilton Members that time and time again bring business to the brand with our stays. If I could leave 0 star I would, this hotel left something to be desired. I really don't understand how they have 4 stars on Google, all I can think of is managment encouraging their employees, friends and families to write bogus reviews to raise their score. I really don't want to believe a Hilton brand would stoop so low but then again this hotel seem to be run by very rude and unprofessional people so I can't rule anything out. The property was old and outdated. Now I'm not super picky about things like that but when my room smells horrible and the ceiling in the bathroom on top of the tub is cracking and pieces of drywall are falling on me while showering, well that's when we have a problem. I understand a building being outdated but maintenance should never ever fall behind, especially in a Hilton brand. As a Hilton Diamond member that has stay with the brand everytime I travel domestically or internationally, this is not what I have come to expect from them. On top of that the staff was extremely unhelpful, rude and unwelcoming. They all seem like they did not want to be there and were all having the worst day according to their body language and behavior towards the guest. I was traveling with my partner and she's a god damn saint and didn't want to bother anyone or get anyone in trouble, she told me it was just a 3 nights stay and to just let it go, so I didn't say anything while we were there. Now the last drop came when we arrived home and I sat down, and went to check the receipt from the hotel(side note-I usually don't check my Hilton stay receipts till a couple days after check out, but this people did not inspired any confidence in me). I am glad I checked because there was a $267 cleaning fee attached. I immediately called the hotel but the agent said he didn't know what that cleaning fee meant so I had to call back the next day in the morning to speak with his manager Rebecca. I called the next day in the morning and asked to speak with Rebecca, they send me to her voice-mail, so I got tired of being thrown around like a god damn ball and decided to call the diamond desk. They contacted the hotel and put me through to talk to someone(this person was not the manager Rebecca, it was a front desk agent) The lady said the Cleaning Fee was for smoking. Now I was really pissed, I have ashtma and obviously do not smoke at all, and my partner does not smoke either, she doesn't even drink. I explained that it was not possible that we could have smoke in that room and asked what proved they had to make that statement and charge me a fee without even notifying me before leaving the hotel, all the lady said was that it smelled like someone smoked. I reiterated that it was not possible and she kept saying the same thing. A
A convenient location to the downtown attractions such as PNC Park and the football stadium. We were in a huge apartment size suite. It’s clean. There were nice dispensers of Dove brand soap, lotion, shampoos, conditioner and body wash. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast is ok. Nothing great. The traffic flow at the buffet table is not well planned. No one was wiping tables clean. They run out of napkins, forks, half and half. They are not replenished quickly. Later in the day the complimentary coffee station was not refilled promptly. The Coffee Mate pump dispenser is not a great or sanitary option. Other hotel chains offer the individual creamer containers. But all in all the place is fine.

The public area is old and dirty. The doors are still there, the floors and tables are not cleaned, except for the bed. The breakfast is just packed. No slippers or toothbrushes are provided. There is no convenience store nearby.
The hotel's American breakfast pattern is OK, because there are many people to eat, you can get the room. The front parking lot is free, and there is a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave in the room. The room is big enough. The downside is that the air conditioner has a loud sound and the wind direction cannot be adjusted. Because it is too late to stay, I don't know if the hotel can solve this problem.
When you have a job that takes you from city to city, the rarest of rare things is feeling at home. This establishment, diamond in the rough though it may be, made me feel at home. Welcome. Leslie (apologies if I got her name wrong, I’m notoriously bad at that,) manages a home-away-from-home hotel. She runs a tight ship, and kept it tidy, quiet and inviting. I actually looked forward to coming “home” at night. The only negative to speak of was when my keycard wouldn’t let me into my room and it took me twenty minutes to find the evening shift employee who seemed as if I was a bother. That aside, when I find Pittsburgh back on our itinerary, I will be looking forward to putting my feet up here once again.
Clean and tidy, the service is good. The shower room and the toilet are separate and convenient. The large bed is combined with a sofa bed for family travel. Breakfast is simple and OK
