Rooms are comfortable with good quality bathroom toiletries, and comfortable beds either single or double as required. Good working air conditioning too throughout the hotel, together with the Wi-Fi. Cozy small lounge just inside the reception area with excellent furnishings. Christophe and Tomas ensure that nothing is too much trouble for whatever you require at the hotel, or either at breakfast or dinner, which are both first-class. Safe and ample parking, which is a priority for us on a travelling holiday. For me, the ashtrays on nearly every table outside should be more in the background in their beautiful garden. Although our first stay at The Bastide but not to Grignan, which is a lovely characterful small town about 20 mins walk away depending on your fitness/weather, we are intending to return next year, and look forward to enjoying Christophe's and Tomas's untiring hospitality. We wish them continued success.

We spent four night at La Bastide, and the hospitality was truly outstanding. We had left Wastington DC, flown directly to Lyon, and drove to Grignan. We were exhausted from the travel and navigating unfamiliar roadways. The owners took our bags to our 2d floor rooms and then served us wine on the backyard garden that was in full flower. On a lovely day! We dined at the Le Chenaie, the inn's restaurant and it was surprisingly good. The chef made excellent us of the spectacular early summer vegetables and fruit. Ah, the aubergine, the summer squash, the fresh local berries. But especially wonderful was when we returned to the inn late Thursday afternoon - a day when the restaurant was closed we'd not had lunch, they brought to our room a selection of apples and pears, crackers, and bottled water. We were famished and now we had a very nice summer dinner - and without charge! How wonderful.

OUTSTANDING hotel, location, staff, services, breakfast and restaurant. Everything was superb. The rooms and bathroom are Extremely clean and neat. There is a welcome gift and water provided. Housekeeping was daily and thorough. The staff are top notch - friendly, helpful with 5 star service. Daily breakfast is over the top, a big buffet with so many choices and all fresh. Location also great, 15 minute walk into the village of Grignan with restaurants, shops and the castle with so much history from the middle ages. Onsite parking was easy and convenient. Highly recommend. We will definately return.

Not quite sure what others see in this place, though in its favour it’s quite cheap and it’s clean. But absolutely no charm. Rooms are about as basic as you can get. Does the job I suppose as a place to lay your head for a stop over. However Grignan itself is an absolute gem.

Great peaceful location. Easy to get to. On-site parking and dining. The air conditioning and pool was a must during the hot weather of July. The room was basic, but comfortable. The staff made our stay. Everyone was exceptionally pleasant, friendly, helpful and professional. A shout out to Chantel. 5 Star service. She greeted us every morning with a smile and a short chat at breakfast. Loved her! Breakfast by the way is worth the extra €. The young lady that checked us in was also very helpful. This is a well run operation. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Although we arrived at the hotel about 1 hour before check-in time, we were given access to our room. The room and hotel is spotless, beautiful smell everywhere. The rooms and public areas have very good air-conditioning. The directors Christophe and Tomas are very nice and the lady during breakfast time is also very helpful and accommodating. The lounge area and other public areas are very tastefully done. The beautiful gardens and pool area are very quiet and relaxing - if you can tolerate the crickets 😊 - but this is part of the charm of Provence. There was ample parking space and the front gate gets closed at night for security. You are given a code to access the car park and the hotel after 11pm. Unfortunately we did not get the opportunity to have dinner at Chez Elles Restaurant- we were told that the food and service is very good. Breakfast is also very good. If we return to Provence we will definitely stay here again.
