A local 4-star hotel with a Michelin restaurant that is recommended on many websites.
The location is about 8-10 minutes walk from the train station, and you can see the First Mountain from the hotel.
As soon as we checked in, we felt the staff was very enthusiastic. The winter-only welcome drinks and fruits warmed us up immediately when we arrived late at night! The room is modernly decorated, the supplies are well selected, and the view from the room with balcony that I booked this time is also super great!
The breakfast was normal, but the dining area was so beautiful that it looked great no matter how you took photos! Free desserts are also provided in the afternoon.
It’s a pity that this time I happened to encounter their fine dining on two days off a week, so I didn’t have the chance to experience it.
A small reminder, the hotel provides station pick-up but it requires additional charges. But there is bus number 123 at the door (after checking in, the hotel will give you a small piece of paper that allows you to take the bus for free and enjoy some ticket discounts). The bus does not always run depending on the time.
A really good one to recommend!

Not worth the money you pay per night. Bed is uncomfortable, not enough pillows, the room service is poor. If you not pay 20% at least for room service from your bill then you have to go downstairs the sauna service also is poor. Small swim pool. I guess the cost the night is only because they have a Michelin restauran.

Hotel Glacier would have to be our favourite ever hotel experience. The view from our room was unbelievable, the breakfast each day was the best of our time in Europe, the service was excellent and outdoor spa a special memory. If you are planning a stay in Grindelwald, try and stay at the BHG, you won’t be disappointed!

This is a charming, lovely hotel in a perfect location. The view from our room and the dining area can only be described as spectacular and the same could be said for the entire staff, from the front desk to the servers in the dining room to the people servicing the breakfast area. Everyone was so polite and helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we could have possibly needed. Towels were changed daily although we didn’t request it. This was a great location for everything we wanted to do in the area and we appreciated the hotel not being on a main road which made it feel quiet and private. The meals we had for dinner were just great and the breakfast items were fresh, plentiful and delicious. If we ever return to Grindelwald, we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else but the Hotel Glacier!

Whilst it may strike you as being small the quality of the bedrooms and lounge / dining areas, the delicious food [particularly the breakfasts], the friendly / helpful staff, and the amazing views from the public rooms will soon put you at ease.

This place was incredible. Truly felt like a dream staying at the Boutique Hotel Glacier in Grindelwald. The views were breath taking and the food was 5 star. Special shout out to Thomas and Dani who were the absolute best and made our dining experience one of a kind! This hotel is a hidden gem that I will be returning to again! Highly recommend.

My husband and I had a lovely time staying at the Hotel Boutique Glacier. We stayed at one of the Signature rooms and really loved the jacuzzi with amazing views of the Eiger. It's so peaceful and beautiful to wake up to every morning. The terrace also had beautiful views perfect to match with breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks etc. The breakfast spread had a good variety and the staff were always helpful whenever we needed anything. We will definitely come back one day!

The hotel is absolutely fantastic! The team are nice and the location of the hotel with that views is just magical. I loved the spa facilities. Can't not mention the breakfast with a breathtaking view. I will for sure come back to this wonderful place.
