Hotel is located on a very busy road in Gronau. Traffic is quiet between 2:30 AM and 5:30 AM. If you book via Bookings or Hotels you will get a B-room on the t****th floor at the front. According to the owner, there is a choice between A-rooms and B-rooms, but this is not true. Last week it was 30 degrees, opening windows at the front is impossible because of the noise. No fan in the room. When people complain that it is impossible to sleep like this, untruths are told. Hotel is very focused on money and the guest is secondary. Written complaint (email) sent, no response. Dramatically bad.

Im Gegensatz zum Restaurant, welches separat im entsprechenden Kapitel bewertet wurde, können wir (Gruppe mit ca. 15 Personen) das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen. Die zur Straße gehenden Zimmer haben ein massives Lärmproblem. Auf der Straße ist höchstens zwischen 00 und 05 Uhr wenig Autoverkehr und die Fenster sind schlecht isoliert, so daß man ständig eine Lärmkulisse hat. Der Straßenlärm war sogar in den rückwärtigen Zimmern hörbar, so daß man spätestens ab 05 Uhr morgens auch hier die Fenster schließen mußte. Dazu kam, daß die Eingangstüren der Zimmer zum Flur hin ebenfalls nur eine ungenügende Schallisolierung aufweisen. Man verstand im Zimmer fast jedes Wort, was im Flur gesprochen wurde. Ansonsten waren Zimmer und Frühstück unspektakulär und sind weder positiv noch negativ aufgefallen.

In einem kleinen Stadtteil von Gronau liegt dieses familiengeführte Hotel. Mein Zimmer war ausreichend groß und das Bett sehr bequem. Die Einrichtung ist einen Ticken älter, auch im Badezimmer, aber alles noch in Ordnung. Die Hellhörigkeit zum Flur ist wie so oft in diesen etwas älteren Hotels leider gegeben. Das Frühstück war ausreichend. Am Hotel gibt es auch kostenfreie Parkplätze.
