My husband and I stayed 4 nights here, we were with a group, a family of 14. My comfort level is a Hilton, and this is not a Hilton. This is owned and run by Ramiro, he will meet you at the door, and get you settled, this is his home. It has only 5 rooms and is in the heart of Guadalajara. When you need anything, you ask the owner, who speaks English quite well. When you are out site seeing, and you have a question… you call Ramiro. Located walking distance to 3 different plazas, museums, theaters… the biggest market I have ever seen. We wanted coffee to bring back to Seattle, so Ramiro personally walked us to the market to find coffee. The rooms are clean, cleaned everyday by a sweet local widow. It is safe. I never felt uneasy staying there. There is coffee every morning, then we would walk to a bakery, or to get a torta for lunch where the locals ate. I gave this 5 stars because I speak no Spanish, and was really out of place, but Ramiro made sure my vacation was everything I wanted. It is not a big hotel, it is a man’s home, and it truly is beautiful.
