Yushe Hotel (Guangzhou Beijing Road Tianzi Wharf)

We went to Guangzhou on the days of Canton fair so the hotels in these days are extremely fully book and price is more expensive. So we finally booked this one. Very old hotel. You can smell the order from the carpet. Room is old, small, the toilet is not as clean as expected. Well, at the price we paid, it is not worth.

Dingy, smelly hotel. The bed was rock hard, and caused me to get no sleep for the two nights, I would have been just as comfortable sleeping in the road… There was blood on the fresh bedsheets, and the whole place was generally very run down and dirty. The WiFi didn’t work for the first night, despite reception coming up to have a look. My sink also clogged. The hallways floor has buckled all over, and people sit in their rooms with the doors wide open talking loudly, and smoking in the hallways and elevator. After 10pm on the second night, someone started knocking on my door and speaking in Chinese. It was the receptionist, but it appeared they got the wrong room. This was quite scary as I was in bed, and already felt unsafe in the hotel. I requested a refund from trip so that I could book a room elsewhere, the hotel rejected this. They then eventually agreed to refund me for the final night, but they did this at 2.30pm, with a fine for each hour that passed that I hadn’t checked out. I was already out for the day at this point, and so the fines would have wiped out any refund.

 The room is good. The bed is good. The bathroom is good and clean and have a window and have laundry room.
