very good! I booked a one-day stay on Xicheng and was very satisfied with the stay, so I booked two more days on Gaode. The following photos are all real shots.
Let’s talk about safety first. This youth hostel is on the 29th floor and there are security guards downstairs. The main entrance and room doors of the youth hostel are all equipped with electronic code locks. I saw online that there are lockers with locks, but I don't need them. If you need them, I suggest you contact the hostel to confirm.
Speaking of the environment, I stayed in a five-person room. There was no smell of cigarettes or feet in the room. Because the youth hostel is on the 29th floor, it is not damp, which is very friendly to northerners. When I was cleaning in the morning, I went to check out other room types. The pictures were taken by me. This is one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in a youth hostel.
The hostel is divided into three floors. The first floor has two toilets, a shoe rack and a room. The second floor is the laundry room ➕ two toilets ➕ a toilet for girls ➕ a public area ➕ rooms. There are water dispensers, refrigerators and microwaves in the public area. The third floor is the clothes drying room. There is a glass shed on the rooftop where washed clothes can be hung to dry.
I observed that his family had a gas water heater, which meant that there was always a steady supply of hot water, no matter how many people were taking a bath. They provide slippers, shower gel and shampoo. You need to bring your own towel, toothpaste, and toothbrush (maybe they provide it for a fee?? But I didn't ask).
Speaking of roommates, based on my observations during my one-day stay, I didn't find any older guests (I don't mean to discriminate against age, I just mean that some older people may not pay much attention to etiquette in public places). The people I saw in the corridors and public areas were all around 20-25 years old.
Finally, let’s talk about the geographical location. There is a bus stop downstairs of this youth hostel. There is a FamilyMart behind the building, and there is a subway station to the east and west of the building. The subway station on the west side is called Exit C of Longkou West Subway Station on Line 11, just cross the road. The subway station on the east side is Huashi Station on Line 3. It takes about 8 minutes to walk 500 meters from Exit F. There are many restaurants around and the transportation is convenient.
Overall, the good reviews on the platform seem to be genuine (not fake). I suggest people who come to Guangzhou to experience it. If you are not sure, you can book one day like I did, and then extend your stay if you like it.
I wrote this review on my own accord, with the intention of recommending this youth hostel to those in need. There is no conflict of interest between me and the hostel owner.
