The Moment Hotel

The mattress is soft with just the right amount of firmness similar to Western style mattresses. The linens are crisp and clean. In fact, the whole room is spotlessly clean. Water pressure is excellent with plenty of hot water. There is plenty of sunlight in my room type with floor to ceiling windows. The wash basin is slightly small with a round shape which is not so convenient each time I wash my face or shave as I get water all over the floor. There is one elevator for seven floors but I never have to wait too long for it. I booked the room without breakfast as there is only one breakfast set with no other options. I was told the breakfast set changes everyday. Anyway there are numerous food options in the local neighborhood with a food court in a mall just a 10-minute walk away. I like to hangout in the breakfast room/common area with free tea bags and a coffee machine for guests. Except for the occasional honking from the street directly below my room, the room is extremely well insulated from noise during the nights. I would suggest two things to improve on. Firstly, have an additional option for breakfast while the side dishes can remain the same. Secondly, though the staff at the lobby are polite and cordial, I would feel even better if all of them look and greet the guests who come and go. Anyway, I'll definitely pick this hotel when I am next in Guangzhou.

Wow, what do I even say? I travelled here for business, around 2+ weeks. I initially only booked 5 days here whilst I attended the Canton Fair (it's about 20mins away via taxi). I checked out to move to a hotel in the Haizhu district, for hours I was checking for a suitable hotel, my main priority was hygiene. After experiencing the cleanliness and comfort of the mattresses, I turned back and decided to stay at this hotel for the rest of my journey, despite me needing to go to the Zhongda fabric market almost everyday. It was great meeting the owners - Ze and Effie, approachable, down to earth New Yorkers! Really excited about the bakery they are opening right near the hotel. The staff are great, whilst they may not speak English, they are patient when you are tapping away at your translator app, they helped me arrange SF Express deliveries, we're happy to collect and hold deliveries for me. Special shout out to Xiaoxi. As a Muslim, the breakfast is not halal, however there is a grocery store right near the hotel, and there is a halal restaurant within walking distance, about 10-15mins, and you can order via the ******* app from a halal restaurant that is super close as well, they'll deliver it right to your door. And Ze let me know the bakery will be using butter and not lard - so imagine the fresh bakery with a coffee from the canteen/dining area! Oh and the washing machine and dryers are brand new, state of the art, wonderful to use. As I said before - the rooms were super clean, have air purifers, no insects (a huge thing for me). It's literally a brand new place - which you won't find with most "STAR" hotels. I've stayed in the Shangri La in Pazhou, and I will take this place hands down, comfy firm mattress, lovely heating smart toilet. It is slightly bare bones, but who needs all the faff, if you need a bowl, an adapter, add the front desk on wechat and message them, they'll help you whatever time. The picture I have uploaded is of a larger room I upgraded to after I made a new booking, if you want extra space, worth it.

After 2 horrible hotel experiences on Day 1 & 2, The Moment Hotel was truly a life saviour. The moment we checked in, everything changed — clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and a calm minimalist design that felt like a breath of fresh air. The location is strategic, making it easy to get around Guangzhou, and the automated toilet was a total game changer. Even during Canton Fair week, the rates were surprisingly reasonable — a rare find for this level of comfort and service. What really impressed us was the exceptional staff — not only were they friendly and helpful, but they also went the extra mile to help us ship our items back to Malaysia, which made our trip so much smoother. And the best part? There’s a 24/7 convenience store right next to the hotel, making it super easy to grab anything we needed at any hour. This hotel doesn’t just give you a room — it gives you peace of mind. Absolutely a 5-star experience. Highly recommended and will definitely return!
