Location: The hotel is situated in a stunning location with ocean views, clean surroundings, and proximity to a beautiful village, Alcala, for evening excursions. The peaceful setting away from busier parts of the island is appreciated by many guests.

Had an absolutely amazing holiday with my partner at Gran Melia Palacio De Isora. Red Level staff made sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay. The overall experience was 5-star from the food to the service and accommodation. We particularly loved the sunsets and our dinners at the La Terasse Red Level restaurant. Would be coming back for a third time soon!

My fiancé and I stayed at the property August 3-14th and had the time of our life. We came back after two years after got engaged here at the property last time. And what a stay... We cannot fully recognise every one, but we felt we came "home" again from the first minute. We reserved private transport from the airport which were 100% and a perfect start. From the minute we entered RedLevel reception and throughout the stay we felt we were taken care of "over and beyond". Fantastic room with with partial see view (perfect for us) and super service from housekeeping and VIP service. We tried all the restaurant at the property, all very good, but our favorites were La Terrasse and Le Bistrot Provencal. The tasting menu at the La Terrass was truly worth a Michelin star (or two). Extra ordinary experience with local food and wine (many of the local wines I give 4.5 rating in Vivino). Even though all of Melia employees gave us a super experience and service, we really want to highlight the Red Level "Dream Team" Pablo, J. Angel, Mohamed, Angel, Daniel, Ricardo, Erensto, Fernando and Alejandro What a team and what a service and good laugh and interactions. These fantastic people made us decide to come back again next year already.

My wife and I stayed in a lovely room in the adult’s only Red Level. We were n the first floor corner, and had a Bali-Bed outside our porch that was great. They have the largest infinity poo in all of Europe, and too many other pools to count. The Pangea restaurant was amazing wit it’s varied options or well prepared options, as vegans it was superb. My wife and I caught a bug on our prior trip that became ore symptomatic there, and the staff helped us find a pharmacy and recommended free room service, and later on that day, called our room to check on us and see if we had any needs – twice. Off grounds the black sand beaches and February crashing waves are spectacular. Loved every moment (except the sick part). Wish the Canary Islands were closer to Chicago. The staff are rockstars.

Superb site, comfortable rooms, excellent food, very pleasant and attentive staff. The 5pm drinks and nibbles session is lovely. We have been there about six times and have booked again for 2026 Nowhere is perfect and the things that could be improved are : - terrible sewer smell in our part of the site early each morning - Oasis should be reopened for dinner to improve dining choices in the evening. - there has been noticeable trimming back over the years on choices at mealtimes for all inclusive residents at the red level.

We had an ocean facing room with balcony overlooking the Red Level pool. We were on half board, had breakfast at the Red Level restaurant, and dinner at Pangea where there is a dining area for Red Level guests. The staff were helpful and welcoming. During checking out, we noticed that a 300 Euros restaurant bill had been added to our bill on evening. We didn’t have dinner at there as we were in Alcala that evening. The matter was easily resolved. We had a relaxing time at the Red Level. We stayed there once in 2017 plus many times at the Gran Melia since 2013. If you’d like a quiet and relaxing time, the Red Level is the place to be.

Our special place for a break in Tenerife ,, We’ve been visiting red level RL Gran palacio at Melia since 2012 and while it’s been getting busier each year we still enjoy the red level experience . Thus includes all the Hotel amenities plus RL including adult only reception , breakfast , pool , gardens , happy hour which is part of the important afternoon reception. The staff are all super helpful and friendly which is one of the many reason for returning. We now only book b and b to give us the option to eat in or visit one of a number of local tavernas and restaurants. While the food in the main hotel ( there are numerous restaurant choices ) is ‘ok’ and staff are friendly , we find the service and food in the restaurants leave room for improvements.. The rooms are comfortable and always immaculately clean while some show signs of needed a little tlc , which we’re told is ongoing. The red level experience has grown over the years and the rooms now have extended into the main part of the hotel to accommodate more ‘red level’ guests, this means you may have to Walk across the larger part of the hotel to RL facilities . Despite its enlarging RL we still manage to find seating and sunbeds without too much trouble. However the beds around the pool do get reserved before sun up some days.. Overall we love the atmosphere and friendliness and intend returning again next year.

probably our 15th time, we try and stay twice a year, its what we like doing and we are just hooked on coming back. This time we stayed in a Red level family area suite (as a couple) which gave us more room but is a little way from the main red level area. Its not perfect, there was a bit of an issue with the electrics in our room but it was sorted out and we remained there. We have been so many times now we stay bed and breakfast, we like the flexibility to eat out and to be honest a couple of nights we just had a bocadillo in the local sports bar El chorro which is great for quality drinks. We prefer to be in the garden area during the day but its crept in where people are leaving towels on sunbeds especially around the pool, its everyone not just british and germans ! I think the hotel need to say at check in that you cannot reserve sunbeds for more than 15 minutes. That said the breakfast is excellent and all the staff are brilliant , special mentions to Alicia, the two Muhammad's, Lucas and everyone else there. We are back in March again. I think as Melia gold members this should mean something when you arrive but it doesn't really seem to mean much in Spain. The hotel complex is huge but impressive The hotel need to ensure that only Red level guests are in that area, there was definitely people on the sunbeds who were not. I suggest a red band for guests which clearly distinguishes you. Alcala is a small quiet place so don't expect any night time entertainment late on Pros Lovely staff all day running drinks and sweet snacks inc beer and wine beautiful gardens and nice sunbeds open free bar from 5pm to 6pm inc tapas great location and view 5 minute walk to local bars/ restaurants entertainment is good No people in football shirts Nice cosmopolitan mix of guests Cons Maybe the rooms are a bit dated now Drinks at the bar are expensive If your idea of fun is 2am bed then it's not for you

Red Level was another great experience on our 8th visit in four years! Great service from very attentive staff. An opportunity not only to enjoy the in house restaurants but a short walk to Alcala town where there are at least four very good independent restaurants
