Warmest of welcomes from one of the staff as we arrived 20.30 in the evening. We had the room at the back as requested. It's clean, basic furniture with a big en suite shower room. Lots of character with 2 original fireplaces. We slept well. My only observations for future improvements are some coat hooks as you going in, a full length mirror so 2 people can get ready at same time without fighting for bathroom mirror, a window screen or privacy blind and a soft pillow choice. Management were really accommodating in our departure for an afternoon flight. We would definitely stay again based on this 2 night visit in June 2024.

Such a great pub - the landlords are absolutely lovely people - so friendly and welcoming - there is nothing that is too much trouble. There is a great choice of food and it's delicious - massive portions. Our go to place for a well earned Thursday work lunch - and of course Albie makes it really special - well done guys don't change a thing :-)

I arrived here, a teary and tired traveller, but after the warmest and kindest of welcomes from the lovely Kim quickly rejuvenated in my lovely, clean and well equipped room. I would definitely recommend the half moon to any other weary traveller and look forward to my next stay.
