Guilin Hotels with Airport pickup service

We spent 2 nights at Sheraton hotel in Guilin. The hotel is located very centrally in walking distance to most major tourist attractions and close to Guilin railway station. The staff was very attentive and absolutely accomodating for all of our wishes making our experience very memorable. The interior design of the hotel is well thought out and gives it a simple but elegant touch. The facilities include small swimming pool which we couldn't try due to the weather situation. The gym consisted of a handful of cardio treadmills and machines for resistance training from Life Fitness with an area in the corner with dumbells and foam rollers, yoga mats. The changing room came with a sauna. We can recommend the breakfast buffet which is a mix of Western breakfast and local specialties from Guilin. Out of the available package options we really enjoyed the photo shoot where they provide makeup and clothes(classy/elegant and Guilin traditional) to capture the amazing moments from the trip.

Location is near to everything. Walking distance. Especially at night, so many food stalls. Nearby a foodcourt also. Room wise, basic. But all the toiletries given. The reception counter is extremely helpful. I was trying to buy a luggage scale but failed miserably. No meituan app, ended up the staff help us to weight our luggage at their kitchen 😅😅 well its works. Cos we have early flight on the next day. Jolin & Ella are friendly staff and even hand us a bag of snacks to eat at airport. Thanks!

My first impression of Shangri La Guilin is that many staff speak English proficiently or at least the basics that are required for their job. I arrived an hour and a half before the check in time but they promptly checked me into my room without any long wait. My luggage was taken to my room by a bell boy whose English was even better than the front of the house. My initial thoughts of the room was that it was quite old fashioned and the interior design & amenities were dated in comparison to most 5 star hotels. The view however was exceptional. I could clearly see the garden, river and mountains. After my first night I was woken by some loud music. Though the staff tried to tell the dancers that playing the music was disruptive to their guests, they continued to play it which further frustrated me. I informed the guest manager Edward who was very helpful in rectifying this. He upgraded me into a much nicer room that he ensured me should be quieter. They also gave me complimentary fruits in the room which added to the nice gesture. This is exactly the kind of quality of service that earns them a 5 star rating. Carl at the front desk was also very competent and was very helpful when I had to pay for something through wechat. The room I came with was a package deal that included breakfast, spa voucher, photoshoot and club privileges. It was worth the extra cost as the all inclusive club buffet during happy hour was filling and tasty (photo attached). Breakfast was a Chinese buffet with a fusion of western basics such as cereal, toast and bakery items. If you have the time, I would highly recommend seeing Kelly (English name) for a ”signature Asian” massage at the spa. She applied the perfect pressure for me and was very kind. The photoshoot was organised through wechat and included 6 photos. The photographer was lovely and the final photos made special memories of my time in China. Suggestions for improvement: several items in the room are in need of repair or replacement eg. old hair dryer that lightly blows air (useless), flickering lights when you turn it on and the phones. I also think if they were to refurbish the pools outside then the place would appear less worn down. Overall, the service and reputation is what made this stay worth it. I look forward to staying at Shangri La again

The hotel is in a very good location, in the Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Area, next to Rong Lake, and the scenery is quite good. Mr. Wang, the front desk clerk at the hotel, was very attentive. He helped me check the order carefully and found some conflicts. He assisted me in contacting the platform to resolve them. Thank you very much! The only drawback is that the hotel is indeed quite old. Even after the renovation, the sound insulation is relatively poor, and the dust is large, which makes people uncomfortable.

I recently stayed at the Universal International Hotel in Guilin, located next to the Li River and close to the Elephant Trunk scenic spot. I booked through Trip.com, but the check-in experience was disappointing as I had to wait an hour for my room to be ready. Fortunately, the staff were kind enough to upgrade my room due to the delay. The new room was much bigger and included a living room. Although the room was clean, the decoration felt outdated. I encountered issues with the toilet, which maintenance promptly fixed, but the bathroom drain emitted a terrible smell, necessitating that I keep the bathroom door closed. On the last evening, I was disturbed by a cockroach running around the floor. The hotel’s breakfast was quite poor, with a very limited selection. The so-called “international” options were almost nonexistent, consisting only of toast and coffee. I stayed for three nights but only ate breakfast once due to its subpar quality. However, the location of the hotel was excellent, being very close to all the scenic spots. Despite the responsive customer service in handling room issues, my overall experience at the hotel was very low, and I did not enjoy my stay. Given these issues, I would not recommend this hotel to others.

A very well managed & maintained hotel, spotlessly clean from corridor carpet, elevator, bathroom faucets polish etc Front desk staff are all service minded, polite & eager to help. Bed is comfy provided with one soft & one harder pillow Free self service laundry & dryer + detergent at multiple floors comes in handy Long sighted spectacles (with various degree) even provided at Front desk for the convenient of guests use. 10 minutes walk to nearby Elephant Rock & Sun Moon lake Breakfast spread is a notch above most local hotels (not international brands) Definitely a high value for money hotel to stay. Do not expect a good view from your room though due to hotel is at city center surrounded by similar height buildings

The lighting in washing quite dark. The cleaniness of the towel in washing room not quite good as found some dirty. The location is good & convenient to several site seeing place.

I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel in Guilin and had an amazing experience. The place was very clean and organized, with a stunning decoration that combined old Chinese style with a modern twist. The staff were incredibly welcoming and could speak English, making my stay even more comfortable. The location was perfect, close to all the major tourist sites. The bed was very comfy, and the air conditioning worked great, which was a relief after a day of exploring. I will 100% be booking this hotel again the next time I come to Guilin. Highly recommended!

Pro: Excellent location. We’ve paid for an executive room so room was clean and decent, there was some view overlooking people’s rooftop garden. Breakfast was ok. Con: Service was mediocre; and can be improved. Hotel front did not have ramp, it was difficult to carry big luggages going up the few steps. On our first day arriving at hotel, we had difficulty taking the big luggages going up steps. Front desk staff stood at their desk and looked at us without offering any help. Not good.

Perfect location for someone traveling by speed train! Less than 4 minutes walking from the North Station and you can litterally see the hotel from the station and vice versa. The rooms are very nicely decorated and comfortable. Would be nice if some were kept non-smoking. I will never give 5/5 on cleanliness for a room that smells like smoke however clean it looks. The staff was very polite. It would be nice if the hotel gave some indications on how to get around (that would make a 5/5 on service), especially that when I asked about public transport to Longji the reception couldn't help me out. Overall, I would certainly stay here again when taking the train. I would recommend to TRIP to add a price-quality rating, this hotel definitely scores 5/5.
