Guilin Qixing District Hotels

We were in Guilin for 9 days, during which the city experienced its worst storm in 35 years ! The city centre was seriously flooded and there was no electricity. We were extremely fortunate to have stayed in Qing Lan - it is situated at a higher ground so was not affected. We were travelling with an elderly lady with wheel chair - first stayed at a Double bed room mountain view for 4 days and then the Family Suite Mountain View for 5 days. Surroundings - The nearby park (which hotel staff can take you there for free - outsiders have to pay. It's huge ! It's only about 5 mins walk to get there from hotel ) has the most spectacular view one can expect. It really has a ”wow” effect. The best part is hardly anybody there. Staff members - This is the most friendly hotel I have ever stayed ! Staff members are not just professional - they genuinely care and give you a family feel. They looked after us so well to the extent we were a little touched :-) Location - situated in a quite area but about 15 mins drive to city centre (Ride costs about RMB 20 - 25). The scenery is indeed much better than city area Room - Since the hotel is new, everything is very clean, towels are new and beds very comfortable. Really nothing much to complain about. Food - The only drawback is there is only one restaurant nearby in the park. Breakfast is more than sufficient but not elaborate. You can order delivery easily should you want to have dinner at hotel, which was what we did for 2 days If you want a few days of peace and tranquility, I cannot think of a better place. Will definitely go back again ! To my knowledge, this is just Phase One,

Family, staying in this hotel by the Li River on this trip is simply the stroke of genius in my travel career! As soon as I opened the window, the beautiful scenery of the Li River unfolded in front of me like a scroll. The clear river water was shimmering, and the mountains in the distance were like dark clouds and mist. I can watch this scenery all day! The room was clean and comfortable, the bedding was so soft that it felt like sleeping on clouds, the details were carefully considered, and the small ornaments were exquisite. The hotel's service was even better, from the warm and thoughtful check-in at the front desk to helping plan the tour route, everything was taken care of. In the morning, there was also a rich buffet breakfast with various local specialties, which made me start a day full of energy. The location is excellent, you can walk along the Li River and feel the breeze when you go out, and there are many specialty shops and restaurants nearby. This stay was a great experience, and I will definitely choose this place next time I come here!

Check-in was seamless, and I was soon shown to my room, which was spacious, modern, and tastefully decorated, capturing the essence of Guilin’s unique beauty. The room itself was exceptionally comfortable, with high-quality linens and a luxurious bed that guaranteed a good night's sleep. I appreciated the thoughtful touches, like complimentary tea and coffee, and the large windows that offered stunning views of Guilin’s breathtaking scenery. The hotel’s amenities exceeded my expectations. The breakfast buffet was particularly outstanding, featuring fresh, flavorful options that catered to all tastes. One highlight of my stay was the hotel’s convenient location, which made it easy to explore Guilin’s famous landmarks, such as the Li River and the stunning karst mountains. The hotel staff was extremely helpful, providing excellent recommendations for nearby attractions. Overall, my time at the Guilin Exhibition International Hotel was nothing short of amazing. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and a prime location makes it a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Guilin. The room is very clean, spacious and bright, and the bathroom is very tidy with dry and wet separation. The whole hotel is very comfortable, with fish in the front yard and cats in the backyard. It feels familiar and homely, and the children like it very much. The hotel owner is very welcoming, the breakfast is rich and delicious, and there is also a time-honored Guilin rice noodles near the hotel that are super delicious 😋. I said I wanted to buy green mango, and the owner recommended me to Huidong Market, which is cheap and good, and relatively close. In short, I am very satisfied and will patronize it again next time.

A well kept and comfortable place along the river.  The place had a small laundry room, which was complimentary.  They offer a modest breakfast and operate a coffee bar.  A cute cat is resident in the lobby.  It is walking distance from a few local restaurants.  About a mile’s walk will put you close to several tourist attractions.  It is far enough away so there is little traffic or noise at night. The staff is most friendly and attentive. I would definitely stay here again. No mosquitoes and AC was quiet and easily controlled.

The B&B is a new Chinese-style courtyard building. It is very close to Guilin's largest Seven Star Park. It only takes 1 minute to walk, 5 minutes to the east bank of the Li River and Jiefang Bridge, and about 10 minutes to the East-West Alley, Xiaoyao Building, and Cross Street. . Guilin's famous scenic spots such as Elephant Trunk Mountain, Jingjiang Prince's Mansion, Fubo Mountain, and Mulong Lake are scattered around, making travel convenient.

I came from a villa. There were two kittens in the lobby and the environment was very peaceful. The surrounding area is very convenient for eating and visiting attractions. You can see the river view from the rooftop, which is great.

We came right after the big flood in Guilin, not realizing that the hotel’s street was one of the most severely flooded. However, the stay we had at this hotel was PERFECT — it was so beautiful and luxurious, and I think we got upgraded to the river view because we had an incredible floor to ceiling window overlooking the river. The hotel itself was untouched and not affected at all by the flood. Genuinely such a luxurious and beautiful hotel. Excellent value for the price we paid. The staff were 1000/10: they brought our luggage up to the second floor for us, they made us a really wonderful homemade breakfast, and they gave us superb recommendations for Guilin and Yangshuo (thank you to the two young people for their excellent recommendations, and to the older couple for cooking such a yummy meal!) and even helped to arrange a Guilin cruise and call us a taxi when we left. The location is really central too: the riverbank is beautiful, and it’s an amazing and peaceful walk with the karst mountains in the background! I highly, highly recommend this place to every visitor to Guilin. I am already looking forward to coming here again.

The location and scenery are excellent. It is within walking distance of scenic spots such as Xiangshan in Dongxixiang. The sanitation is also relatively clean and the facilities are relatively complete. The boss is very enthusiastic and will answer any questions. He will also take the initiative to ask for suggestions when checking out. It can be felt that he is operating very seriously. The only drawback is probably the sound insulation and hot water. This room type has an air conditioner on the top floor. The running sound is a bit loud. People who are sensitive to sound may have problems falling asleep, but I see that the boss has equipped earplugs, which can solve this problem. The hot water in the washbasin comes out slowly and the temperature is relatively low. Because I didn't take a shower, I can't comment on the hot water situation in the shower room. There are many homestays around, and everyone parks their cars in a nearby parking lot, which is about 100 meters away. It is generally convenient and the price is a bit expensive.
