Do not be fooled by the photos. This place is somewhat jaded. Our room needed a refresh. And they are tight fisted. The complimentary water was a 330ml plastic bottle for two people to share. They said we had to pay if we wanted a second bottle. Breakfast was OK. Nothing special. Poorly lit corridors with 'invisible' steps that could easily cause a fall was also a concern. It is dangerous. We visit the area regularly but will not return to this hotel. You can get better places for similar prices. You have been warned.

This building used to be a bank; the rooms have high ceilings and plenty of charm. The fridges don't work, but the air conditioners do. Breakfast is fine. No door between sleeping area and bathroom, which is a bit odd. mattress was super comfortable. I felt quite safe. Front desk should always have someone present, but often it's unattended. Need more staff. But had a nice stay.

I spent 2 nights here before starting the Camino (hotel was provided as part of my package). The hotel is a short walk away from the historic center of Guimarães, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001. My room was adequate, and I might have gotten more rest if it weren’t for the pigeons that frequented the ledge outside my window. It was an odd bathroom arrangement; very tight space and the shower and toilet were separated by clear glass (not a problem if you are solo). And even though I could take an elevator to the second floor, getting to my room required a few hallways and navigating steps. The front desk was more than happy to assist with my suitcase. Due to COVID-19, breakfast was preordered and delivered to your room. Service was prompt and a small snafu with my order quickly resolved. Kudos to the staff for trying their best in such difficult times.

A quirky hotel in a fantastic location in a lovely town. Formerly a bank. A great mix of old and new. The staff are lovely. I would highly recommend both the hotel and the town/city for a few days and nights when in northern Portugal. The Portuguese are a very warm and friendly people in my experience and I love travelling around their beautiful country.

Good location. Clean. Modern. Very helpful staff. Parking nearby and very cheap. We paid approx. €4.60 for 30h. The rooms are spacious and cozy. I recommend booking the deluxe room, it is a little more expensive but it is more than worth it. I would go back again, I recommend it.

The only beautiful thing about it is the facade, inside there is a plum carpet and dark walls with nightclub lighting. I will avoid commenting on the sadness of the breakfast, the cleanliness of the rooms leaves much to be desired as well as the linen available. The parking lot foreseen in our reservation never arrived. But I am attaching some photos of the decadence of this four star hotel…..

Hotel well located in the city center, in the historic center but interior design not pleasant, elevator that serves half a floor, complicated with suitcases to go down steps. Rooms crooked, not practical. We do not feel good there. Suitable for one night only. Rooms poorly insulated, you can hear the noise from the street. Parking far from the hotel
