Our family of three had a comfortable stay. The room, though not large, was perfectly adequate, and the small balcony was a definite bonus. The biggest surprise was the soundproofing – despite being by the road, we heard almost no noise with the windows closed. The restaurant is on the second floor, and breakfast is served until noon, which is fantastic for late risers. We went at 11 AM, and most dishes were still available, though the standard sticky rice and tofu pudding were missing (a slight shame, but we'd already had them at the night market, so it was fine). The only thing I really have to complain about is the hairdryer – my wife and daughter both have long hair, and it would overheat quickly. After a 5-minute wait, it would only work for 2 minutes, making it impossible to dry long hair. I'd recommend bringing your own or asking the front desk for a different model. Aside from that, the overall value for money was good.

But what truly deserves the most praise are the front desk staff, both the young men and women – they were all so warm and attentive. On our first night, we arrived between 9-10 PM. A staff member who had already finished his shift learned we hadn't eaten yet. Not only did he recommend authentic bamboo skewer BBQ, but he waited for us, personally led us there, and even gave us a detailed introduction to other nearby eateries. On our second day, we returned to the hotel around 1 AM. We had to check out by 10 AM to head back to Beijing and urgently needed to do laundry. The staff member on duty helped us expedite the process, and we received our clean clothes by a little after 8 AM. When checking out, we inquired about breakfast. The two young women not only recommended places and sent us locations, but they also packed up fruit for us, asking proactively which ones we liked so they could add more. Overall, the service felt flexible and not rigid, genuinely friendly without any distance. It's those kind of people who make you fall in love with a city during your travels! 👍

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! It's super convenient for both city tours and one or two-day excursions, being right next to the metro station and the tourist distribution center. I initially thought it would be noisy since it's so close to the station, but the front desk staff upgraded our room to a side away from the station, and it was completely silent – no noise at all. There's a washing machine upstairs, which was very handy for laundry. While the room wasn't huge, it was very new and clean. Plus, there's a shopping mall just a few minutes' walk away, and a local street with a market selling all sorts of snacks. Qianling Park is also not far. Seriously, it's just incredibly convenient! The best part, by far, is the transportation. After a long day of sightseeing, the fact that the hotel is right outside the metro exit is an absolute goldmine – it makes such a huge difference!

I specifically chose to spend a relaxing weekend in Guiyang and picked this Holiday Inn Express at Pen Shuichi. The location was absolutely perfect; right downstairs was the main commercial district, and just around the corner, I could find local snacks without having to travel far. Despite being in a busy area, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, thanks to the excellent soundproofing in the rooms – once the door was closed, I couldn't hear any street noise. The smart home controls throughout the room were ideal for a lazy person like me; I could adjust the lighting and temperature right from the bed. The 24-hour fresh air circulation kept the room feeling fresh and not stuffy. The King Koil mattress was super comfortable, and after a busy day, I could quickly relax on it. The local noodles at the breakfast buffet were authentic and delicious, and a fresh cup of coffee was the perfect start to the day. The self-service washer-dryer on the 22nd floor was very convenient for washing clothes I'd worn out, and complimentary iced water was always available in the lobby. For a solo short trip, staying here was comfortable and hassle-free.

The hotel's decor has a very artistic flair, and the rooms are new and clean. The smart home system was easy to use, and the bedding was very comfortable. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and the robot food delivery was very convenient. Overall, it's a quiet oasis in a bustling area, perfect for a trip to Guiyang. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time.

The famous Taiping Road area is just nearby, and it's only a few minutes by taxi to Qingyun Market for local specialties like 'laoguo' and 'guoba ciba'. Public transportation, including buses and the subway, is also very convenient. The staff were responsive, and the entire place was clean and fresh, making for a comfortable stay.
