Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Gunnison

Most excellent motel! The young man, may have been the manager, at the front desk was massively helpful as we were running horribly late. The front foyer is very cool, clean and with character. Not some mass produced building. Rooms were very, very clean, The breakfast was nothing spectacular, but it sure did the trick to get us back on the road. I don't need a $300 motel room, with a bunch of silly little frills that I never use. I want a good solid, clean place to lay my head, get some chow in me and get moving. I will absolutely be back here.
The Gunnison Inn at Dos Rios Golf Course

If you are thinking about booking the Gunnison Inn, don't think any longer. Book it now! This Inn is well maintained, appears to have been recently renovated, is super clean and the staff is attentive. We were in room 120 which was wonderful. The room was fresh, had new finishes and furniture and was very clean. The only recommendation I would offer the hotel is to include a chair or bench in the room containing the shower and commode, simply because it's a large space and it would be nice to put clothing down. There is a hook on the wall but if you are changing it is nice to have a place to lay additional items. The sink is conveniently located outside the shower area so someone can shower while another gets ready for the day. As a person who rates hotels on safety, I give this hotel a 98%. It is well lit, the rooms with drive up outdoor access can also be accessed by an interior corridor door. So, the room has two entrance doors. We did find one window unlocked so check to be sure the windows are locked when you enter the room. The complimentary breakfast was good. It is presented as continental but there are proteins available- yogurt, hard boiled eggs and on our visit, biscuits and gravy. This along with the usual assortment of cereals, fruit and breads/pastries, was more than adequate. Coffee is not available in your room but is plentiful in the breakfast area. I would stay at Gunnison Inn again at a moment's notice. Enjoy your stay!!!
Elevation Hotel & Spa
4.1/597 Reviews
Went on a girls trip and was told the Elevation was the best the town has to offer. Well then, the town doesn't have much to offer other than the wild flowers, which we missed by 2 weeks. One of the front desk staff was great, the other couldn't have cared less. The parking is horrid if you drive a large vehicle. We were 'upgraded' to a mountain view which would have been fine if not for the rattling exhaust fans that kept us from opening the patio door at night. The restaurant was a HUGE disappointment. Canned food in my opinion and 2nd time there (because there was nowhere else we could find) the order was a mess. I tried to call from the room and got voicemail. I tried to order online and got all the way through the order before the site said they no longer take online reservations. So I went down to the restaurant. It was empty. Why the phone went to VM was beyond me. I ordered from the bar and watched employees talk to each other. My friend ordered the Pozole and ate in the room because we were exhausted. The to-go portion was ridiculous - no discount for half the food of course. I ordered a bacon burger no bun and got no bacon, so everything got cold while I waited for the best-ish part of my order. Clearly pre-cooked and barely warm. The burger was typical WalMart-style frozen patty. Rooms were sub-par with broken items everywhere, including an exposed outlet behind my bed. Fire hazard for sure. The desk area had no outlets. It was insane to me that a desk area had no accommodation to be a desk. I was excited to see a humidifier in the room ... until I saw the humidifier. Unusable. The locals were not friendly at all with the exception of one young man who was very helpful and kind. We went to the visitor center and asked typical tourist questions. A local woman jumped into a conversation that did not include her and was very rude to us. Vail was our next stop. Had an amazing time there. Don't think I'll go back to Crested Butte.
Alpine Inn & Suites Gunnison
4.4/5100 Reviews
I had a group of 7 and was looking for as nice of a hotel as I could find. We were coming off a backpacking trip in Crested Butte and were just wanting a clean and comfortable place to stay that wouldn't break the bank. The rooms were very clean and comfy, and the ladies up front were incredibly friendly and accommodating. It's a smaller mom and pop hotel which I'm assuming is why they're $100 cheaper than the Holiday Inn around the corner, but it was just as nice, and actually very relational and relaxed. The grounds and rooms were nice, and the breakfast was good, we were so hungry from coming off the mountain that the lady up front had to put out more food, but she couldn't have been friendlier. If I'm in Gunnison again I'll definitely stay here.
Rodeway Inn Gunnison
4.3/596 Reviews
Selected this hotel largely on the price and reviews on TripAdvisor. Can't beat the price - and breakfast is included. We rode up a ski lift with a couple staying in Crested Butte (the town) and they almost fell off the chair when I told them what we were paying. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is of an older style but it is clean and well maintained. The rooms are cosy, warm and clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower more than adequate. It's also nice to be able to park your vehicle directly outside the room - makes hauling ski gear into the room very easy. The breakfast is good - couple of hot dishes available, along with cereal, toast, coffee and tea. The Crested Butte ski area (and the town) is approximately a 35 minute drive away.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gunnison

We were waiting on a flight back home due to the ice storm in Dallas. We were at the Hotel for 3 nights after spending a week in Crested Butte. The Hotel staff was spread pretty thin but they worked together and made our visit very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was great and the hotel was very clean. Shout out to Jill and her staff for doing an amazing job.
