A converted palace in the middle of a bustling city a haven of tranquility. A delightful but difficult building to negotiate one’s way around. Splendid bedroom beautifully appointed a joy to be in. The staff from the wonderful general manager down were helpful, courteous and extremely patient. To pick out a single member of staff is difficult but my vote goes to Ravi in the dining room. The chef was incredibly helpful when sorting out my dietary problems and produced meals of the highest quality.
Recommended you stay I leave you to make your own mind.

Recently renovated heritage hotel. Very clean and full of charm. The staff were attentive and welcoming, but sometimes fell a little short of what you would expect from this 5 star chain of hotels. For example, one day we returned after a full day exploring the city and our room had not been cleaned. One evening we ate in the restaurant and ordered two dishes, but only one arrived. One evening we went to 5 o’clock cocktails but there was no bartender in the bar. And the first morning we had breakfast we were told it was buffet only; I asked if there was any a menu and was told no, only to realize later that there was in fact a menu full of delicious options. This hotel has potential to be amazing but it needs to pay attention to the details.

Excellent experience overall. The property is very well maintained. The idea of walking the guests around the heritage property and telling about its history is excellent. The food & service were exceptional. Special mention to Draksha, Anjali, Saumya, Chef Ashok and the entire team.

Taj Gwalior is a hidden gem and I’m glad we experienced it for 3 days. The palace is a pretty piece of history and has a beautiful campus as well. The folks at Taj Usha Kiran are really good at rolling out the red carpet and we felt quite like royals for the time we were there. Expansive and comfortable room, with attention to details. The reception and support staff were very courteous. The restaurant Silver Saloon was the highlight of our stay. Although the restaurant’s menu is exhaustive we savoured some unique local dishes - Kareli chat, mutton bharbat, chicken dudhiya biryani - all recommended by the staff at the restaurant. Huge shoutout to the F&B team - Soumya, Sneha, Ravi, Namrata and Anjali- all of whom made our stay special. We also experienced therapies at the Spa and had a very relaxing session with Nivedita and Ambika. I’m glad we picked this gem to experience our holiday.

I with my husband stayed at Taj Usha Kiran from 14th to 17 th August 2025…and have just come back having nostalgic memories of the place and their hospitality especially of GM Tanika Taneja and at dining hall of Sneha and Somya …thank you very much Taj team for making our vacation so amazing

Awesome place, came here to spend my 65 th Very happy Great ambience, good food, excellent service. Special Thanks to Ms Saumya for treating us to all the goodies and taking excellent care at our mealtimes. Must come here and will come back asap
