This guesthouse was cheap, and the room was decently sized. It is a bit far from the Cafe Street and even further from the 5.18 Memorial Park, but it is a good place to stay for going to Mudeungsan. Overall, the distance isn't too bad, but you do have to travel a little while. As for cleanliness, it was clean, but there were still some hair in the rug in the room. The bed was firm, but I had no issues sleeping. I would consider staying here again if I returned to Gwangju.

Thank you so much for my wonderful stay! I would recommend staying here to any solo travellers, the lovely couple who run this hotel made me feel so welcome and safe! It’s in a great area close to many bus stops, restaurants and cafes. It’s easy to find and very clean. It’s quite at night time too. Thank you!!!!

Located near Chonnam University. There's an ensuite bathroom, a working TV and even a heated blanket, so it was a comfortable stay during winter. The bathroom is small so everything will get wet when you take a shower, but it wasn't an issue for me.
Very helpful host, they even gave me a SIM card with data and Korean number after knowing I was staying in Korea for a month.
Overall a pleasant stay in Gwangju. I personally feel location is also good with CU right outside and easy connection with buses around.

Stayed for 4 nights in private room. Small but compact room with drawers and shelves for storage. Good hot working shower. Comfortable beds and efficient air con and fan. Plenty of food options and shops around as close to the university and good transport links to major attractions. Shared kitchen, small but everything you need. Due to this being shared, it was not always the cleanest as not everyone takes responsibility to clean after themselves. Hosts were LOVELY. Really friendly and always around for a chat. We sat with them for dinner one evening and we're given local fruits to try. Cheap and convenient.

The nicest people I've ever met. I came too early but was still able to check in. The owners talked a lot with me and we even drank a coffee together. They also helped me with my SIM card. The room was more than enough and the location was good woth a lot of stores around, while still being in a quiet environment. Definitely recommend going here and would love to come back when I'm back in south korea.

This time the accommodation experience in Gwangju was not very ideal 😣
First of all, the hygiene conditions are really not good ❌ There are obvious hairs and hairs on the bed, and even black palm prints can be seen on the wall... There are also many stains in the refrigerator. It can be seen that the previous guest did not clean it properly after use. The overall feeling is very unclean.
There was no air conditioner remote control in the room, and I got it after I called the landlord. There is no toilet paper in the toilet and no trash can in the room. I don't know where to throw the used tissues, which is very inconvenient.
The only saving grace was the landlady herself – she was from the Philippines and was really warm and friendly. But unfortunately, the accommodation environment really makes people feel uneasy.
I don't think I'd want to visit this B&B again. I hope the owner can improve the hygiene and equipment issues in the future.

This hotel is located in Gwangju Buk-gu (some distance from the city center) and close to Chonnam National University. It should be considered a B&B. There are many other B&Bs in the surrounding area. It feels like the area is a B&B area.
