Our favourite stay in Korea that we highly recommend. Traditional, great location, amazing breakfast prepared by the owner and the hospitality was so welcoming. The owner couple gave us so much information and help to see the area. It was a memorable stay in a traditional room.

The owners of this inn, Mr. and Mrs. Kim, were incredibly welcoming during our stay here. The inn is a comfortable and quiet place to rest right in the middle of walkable Gyeongju, of authentic hanok construction and with comfortable bedding, AC, underfloor heating, and spacious rooms. The traditional bibimbap breakfasts cooked by Mrs. Kim were a great way to start our day. Most of all, we appreciated the friendliness of the owners, who are both former professors and are very knowledgeable about local culture. Mr. Kim provided valuable sightseeing and restaurant recommendations. Mrs. Kim even took time out of her day to practice Korean with my daughter, who was happy to have someone to practice with. Parking was only one block away. Our family would highly recommend this place to others looking for a fun and comfortable hanok stay.

We loved our two night stay at the Hanok Inn. Right from the get go, you could tell Mrs. Kim was kind and efficient in her communications. A week before our arrival she sent us the most helpful advice about how to reach her from Seoul as well as what we could see in Gyeongju-si and environs. Mrs. Kim is truly a living national treasure and great ambassador for Korea. She kindly arranged a fabulous driver to pick us up from our Golgusa Temple afternoon experience. She and her husband arranged our transport to Seokgurum, Bolguksa and Tongdosa and Busan. Mrs. Kim is an excellent cook and she takes great pride in introducing Korean cuisine to her guests. Everything is home made and it must take her hours to prepare such wonderful Bibimbap and side dishes all beautifully presented. Vegetarians are well catered to and the breakfast is huge and will last you until dinner. Mr. Kim goes over the main sights of Gyeongju with you with a map before you set out. He is also happy to show you traditional Korean musical instruments. Mr. Kim is a retired architect and he designed the Hanok faithfully to traditional standards. The Hanok is in the center of Gyeongju but very quiet. Their Hanok is the tallest one in town and affords the best view. Our room on the second floor was the smallest (there are two more rooms on that floor) but afforded the best view. It would suit a single person or couple better than friends. There are more spacious rooms on the ground floor. Nothing was too much trouble for the Kims who were very welcoming. We loved being their guests!

We enjoyed our stay at Hanok Inn a lot. The attention to detail that went into designing and outfitting the rooms was impressive. The mats on the heated floors were so comfortable. The owners were very friendly, clearly cared about their guests, and were happy to talk about their cultural heritage. The breakfast was delicious. This was a true highlight.

This b n b was charming. Old fashioned hanok style hotel in the heart of town, the proprietor was so friendly and obviously loved meeting all the travelers who stayed there. The breakfast was a pretty traditional Korean one with a lot of food. Perfect for the trip and town!

Was looking to stay at a traditional Hanok (traditional sleeping arrangements sleeping on clay ondol floor) and this place certainly did not disappoint. The location is absolutely the best, right inside Hwanglidan road close to everything you need. AC worked very well for our non acclimated bodies. Hosts werㅕㅕe absolutely fabulous and spoke English and served delectable traditional breakfast. The owners do an amazing job with taking care of the property and it felt like you were transported back in time. Kdrama lovers will absolutely LOVE this place and will leave with great photos and memories. Thank me later.

Très bel endroit. Propriétaires chaleureux, serviables qui parlent bien l'anglais. Très belle chambre à l'étage, spacieuse. La propriété est très belle et tous les lieux de la ville sont accessibles à pied. Un parking gratuit est accessible à quelques pas. Le petit déjeuner est raffiné et excellent. La propriétaire est très avenante, aime le contact et à le souci du bien -être de ces convives.

Ein wunderschönes Hanok im Herzen des historischen Stadtkerns mit super herzlichen Gastgebern. Alles ist außerordentlich gut gepflegt und sauber. Lage & Umgebung Das HanokInn liegt in fußläufiger Umgebung zahlreicher Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants im historischen Zentrum. Die Bushaltestelle zum Erkunden der weiter entfernt gelegenen Ziele ist in ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Zimmer Wir hatten das größte Zimmer auf der ersten Etage. Es bietet richtig viel Platz mit zwei „Betten“, Sitzgelegenheit und kleinem Duschbad mit Toilette. Man hat einen tollen Blick auf die Umgebung. Service Wir wurden sehr herzlich willkommen und haben gleich die wichtigsten Sightseeing-Tipps bekommen. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl gefühlt. Gastronomie Es gab ein super leckeres und umfangreiches koreanisches Frühstück. Da wir sehr früh los mussten, konnten wir sogar eine halbe Stunde früher als üblich frühstücken. Das wussten wir sehr zu schätzen, da alles frisch zubereitet wurde und somit recht aufwändig war. Da wir nur wenig Zeit hatten, konnten wir das Frühstück leider nicht angemessen genießen, was uns sehr leid tat. Das HanokInn ist eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft und wenn auch nicht ganz günstig, würden wir hier auf jeden Fall wieder übernachten und können es jedem nur empfehlen!
