Urban Rooms by Neu Collective

The Urban rooms are a collection of apartments, located behind the main hotel 115 The Strand rather than an actual hotel. The room was incredibly generous, with a small terrace that was great for applying sun cream without getting it on the hotel floor. Bathroom was also of generous size. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold food, the hash browns as an English traveller were particularly appreciated. This is served just across the road, at 115 The Strand. Staff were also incredibly friendly, both at breakfast and at check in. Whilst there is no swimming pool, the free access to the lido across the road was a bonus. Bands were collected from reception every morning. Normally the lido is €17 a day to use, so a great benefit of staying at the hotel. Pool towels can be collected from the lido. I celebrated my birthday there and was touched by the staffs efforts to decorate the room with balloons. Extremely thoughtful indeed. Cons: - The hotel room floor was not always the cleanest, despite us asking for it to be mopped. Wonder if this is due to the dust outside rather than a lack of cleaning. - Mattress was particularly hard, but I am used to a softer one at home All in all, excellent value for money.

Clean modern room at nice location, good pool across the street (Aqualuna for hotel guests free of charge with a ticket from the reception), breakfast at another building (main hotel building). Bed N3- is just squeezed in double room, matrass bad quality, like sleeping on sunbed. Both pillows uncomfortable. Overall, sleeping quality on this bed was zero.

We've been there for the 4th time now because it is a nice place to explore the beautiful island of Malta. There are many amenities in the room, the room we were in was a good size for 3 people, the breakfast is filling and you have a variety of options and it was served in the Grana restaurant next door. Friendly and helpful staff at reception. Only minus is that although the room had been made up for 3 people, the teas/coffee/water/cups were only left for 2 people, so they should be more mindful of how many people are going to be in the room.

This hotel didn't offer what it promised... The shared kitchen couldn't be used 'cause it was too dusty, the jacuzzi was empty, we didn't get the breakfasts on the roof terrace like other guests staying at Urban Rooms before us but downstairs at the back of the building, the breakfast is elaborated but of mediocre quality. Some people of the staff don't greet you in the morning and don't even make eye contact. The staircase at Urban Rooms was dirty during our whole stay, it was not even once cleaned during the week. Mirrors and doors were not clean in the room. Nice big room though, well designed. This hotel is well conceived but badly run. We're not coming back...

A very modern, clean and with everything we could need, hotel. Large space, comfortable with coffee machine, kettle, electric iron and ironing board, hair dryer. Clean, modern bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, served at the Strad 115 hotel next door. Jacuzzi, pool and spa included, which we didn't use. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is located almost opposite a bus stop, on the coastal road with very regular transport to Valletta (13-15 minutes) and other areas. If you get the EXPLORE card, you can tour the whole island. At the hotel, you can also book tour packages. Check in/check out takes place at the Strad 115 building where you will be informed about everything. We stayed in January and didn't use all the amenities even though they were available. We will definitely visit again, in a more spring/summer season!

Great location, reasonably priced. Full use of main hotel amenities. Friendly staff. Fairly decent breakfast although the ‘hot’ food could have been hotter 🙈 We had a double and triple room, Room decor could do with a freshen up triple had a camp style bed, my daughter could sleep on a bed of nails so she was happy enough on that. bed linen was clean on arrival however could have been changed more often during stay, particularly the pillow cases. Great size en-suite in both rooms and powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Over all happy and would rebook. .
