Loved the location on the beach and near the motus, sharks and a beautiful public beach. Boat tours and kayaks etc. to rent on property beach. Very friendly staff. Large rooms, big bathrooms. My unit did NOT have a kitchen. I requested a view instead. Good good food/wine. No AC, but I knew that and it was fine. all windows had screens. Restaurant had Tahitian dancing and great deck for sunset. Great value, but NOT a Hilton or? I did not want that. Will stay again.

Bad experience. Refusing us the access to the public beach. Very bad talking with the staff. The end of a famous place on Moorea… RIP. The spot is still awesome, but they forget the service. I've heard bad things about them for some time now, but seeing it with my own eyes is sad.

Stay away from corporate greed and awful politics. Beach is privatized which goes against every local rule. No access and angry guards, so much for Polynesian hospitality. Inappropriate conduct by staff and negativity all around. Stay away.

We ate a delicious lunch here . Setting right on Sunset Beach is gorgeous . The food is great. We loved the huge grilled prawn and fish salad and the excellent poisson cru. The fruit juices and burgers were also great. The staff were lovely. Highly recommend

Great bungalows by the sea. Private beach snorkelling area. Shops in Haapiti are walking distance. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Some bungalows don't have air conditioning, but the fan kept things cool in our bungalow. I would recommend this as go to place to stay on Moorea

We stayed in one of the lower budget rooms near the reception without AC—we were worried this would make our experience miserable but the fans provided worked great and we had no issues. The staff was friendly and kind, and both the sunrise and sunsets on the beach were incredible. The beach is nice and calm, and would be a great spot for families. This hotel was a great value for our money, and we’d definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed an afternoon renting a two-man Kayak from the Kayak Rental station, paddling out and back to the motus. Shipley, our host at the rental station, gave us plenty of inside tips about the motus, currents, and areas for our snorkeling and paddling. Hotel Les Tipaniers has a great employee with Shipley and we highly recommend the rental, whether you want to paddle, or get a small outboard. The paddle was a good workout, and it was fun to picnic on the motu. The snorkeling wasn't really very good, but that didn't take away from the experience. This activity was a great value. Maruru!

I was worried about hearing other comments but when I stayed at this place, I had good experiences. Receptionist and security were kind and nice. I stayed at this hotel one day but I compared than other place, this hotel was really old bungalow style. It was comfortable. They have a security box, kitchen (gas), refrigerator, a fan (No AC), in a room. Room was clean, but bathroom was little bit old fashion. They don't recommend drinking tap water so we went to buy them near hotel. They have parking lot but hotel side was small. They have bigger parking mountain side. Beach was exceptional.

I didn’t stay at this hotel but used their beachfront kayak rental service. They rentals are extremely reasonably priced (singles: 500 cpf/hr; doubles: 1000 cpf/hr). You can easily reach the Motu Fareone and Motu Tiahura from the beach (about 15-25 min depending on your skill level) and you can reach the ‘secret’ spot where you can swim with the small black tip reef sharks and pink stingrays. A couple of 2hr rentals or are ne 3 hr rental could suffice unless you want to hang around the small beachfronts on the Motu’s. To access park across the hotel (south side of the beltway) and walk along the left edge of the hotel entrance. You’ll find a security guard at the gate. Just tell him you’re there to rent a kayak and you’ll be on your way. Bring your own snorkel and fins or you can rent those too.
