A lovely place to watch wildlife and visit the Sigiriya rock fortress. Our stay was made by the hotel staff and in particular the naturalist guide who accompanied us on a night walk and a bird watching trip on the lake. The hotel gardens were simply full of butterflies and birds. The only disappointment was the pool water which was cloudy and the surrounding area which the ants had laid claim to making sitting on a pool lounger too much of a challenge.

Best of Lanka booked this boutique accommodation for us and we were delighted to access activities near Habarana. It was convenient and the rooms and facilities were excellent, the rooms being spread across a large forested site. The staff very pleasant and helpful, and the food was lovely. What more needs be said?

Wonderful staff and service, excellent meals, nature surrounds your bungalow with an easy walk to an adjacent lake with amazing birding. There is an in house naturalist with a wealth of knowledge, Take the night nature walk. Room is clean, plenty of hot water and AC works great.

A lovely little setting! Me and my Dad really enjoyed looking at all the birds and monkeys in the surroundings here! The food at the restaurant was delicious too. We did an early morning bird walk, and I’m annoyed at myself for not remembering the gentleman’s name, but he was amazing! I mentioned I liked raptors, so he made sure the point those out. Very happy to have seen a Brown Fish Owl! He was not only great at spotting and identifying the birds on our walk, but even after it had ended, he saw me wandering around looking for birds. He didn’t have to do this, but he showed me a couple of other great spots to see some rarer species! Many thanks!

The other corner was a quiet and tranquil escape. The rooms were lovely and big and the grounds were beautiful. The manager and chef Amiz was the best part! He paid special attention to our every need and he organized beautiful Sunset dinners and a spectacular night Safari where we saw the clearest starry sky and an elephant! Chef Amiz's food was very tasty and his attention made us feel very special!

This was a very special hotel set in beautiful grounds. Right from our approach over the little bridge to the amazing welcome we got from the wonderful staff..we knew we would remember this one. The accommodation itself was basic but very clean and had everything we needed. We were blown away by all the wildlife everywhere and how well maintained the beautiful gardens were. The main attraction though are the staff... they go above and beyond to make your stay a memorable one, right from letting my husband and son hold the little snake they were caring for, to our magnificent final meal they had set up for us by candlelight in the gardens. It was truly magical. I can't recommend this hotel enough and hope that one day we will visit again!

What a wonderful stay at The Other Corner. Nestled amidst the trees with a large garden type setting, you feel very much at home and ready to relax. With trails for walking to the lake and through the spice and vegetable garden you will soon realize how well taken care of this property is. The staff from central office to kitchen and dining go way above and beyond to meet your needs. I miss them.

Several cabins in this rustic but beautiful resort. They encourage butterflies with natural plants. Staff were AMAZING....kind and responsive ...laundry service...restaurant food very good many choices....only negative was wifi really only available in common areas...cabins almost zero. Gorgeous lake right behind resort with dyke for walking b4 it gets too hot. Great budget accommodation central to Sigiriya, Dambulla Caves and and Ritigala. We were there 3 nights. On the last night they did a big bonfire dinner for the 9 of us, and also helped us give alms to the monks at the local monastery in Habarana. They went out of their way for us to have a great time. Can't say enough about the staff. Wonderful people.
