HakoBa Hakodate by THE SHARE HOTELS

Super super like this hostel. Just 4-5 stops by Tram from JR Hakodate Station, about 10-15mins rides. I stayed in Mix Dorm but very safe n quiet. For ladies Shower Room, only lady with access card can tap in. Inside ladies shower room got washing machine and Dryer. Like their Level 4 shared Kitchen which can cook, heat up and eat at this area. I get to know few other visitor friends from different country and have a nice chat. The L4 rooftop just outside of the shared kitchen, and viewing at the Red Brick Warehouse. There are 2 Lucky Pierrot Burger (Crown Burger) outlet just behind this hostel, one just behind hostel and another one located at Red brick Warehouse. They do have bicycle for renting. Hostel main Road are facing the famous photo spot Hachiman-Zaka Slope (八幡坂) and walking distance to the Mt Hakodate Ropeway station. The staff are very nice and can speak well English. Sure will stay here again if I revisit Hakodate in future.

Hakodate is one of the main cities on Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost island. Looming over the town is 334m-high Mount Hakodate. The mountain's summit, reachable by aerial ropeway gondola, offers dramatic nighttime views. At its base is Motomachi, a neighborhood of steep streets with Western-style, early-20th-century buildings. A city landmark is the grand Old Public Hall of Hakodate Ward, built in 1910.

We had children with us so it was nice to have a large communal bath, but the bath was too hot. Children were not allowed in, and everyone around us was completely red from head to toe. Other than that, the room was compact but adequate for sleeping, and there was a shampoo bar in the bath. We only stayed overnight, but there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance, a Family Mart and Muji nearby, and the tram was nearby, so overall we were very satisfied.

Room was small but comfortable, loved the hot bath but it was a little too hot, breakfast is pretty decent too. Nothing much to do in Hakodate though.

Very comfortable environment, beyond expectations. This is a formal big hotel, the top floor can be ruined. From the front door to the reception, until the key is taken, help us open the door, enter the room, introduce the use of room items one by one, very unforgettable service. The breakfast is also very good and varied.

The hotel is an hour away from Hakodate station. It is an old styled hotel but well kept. Their bath is superb and we enjoyed using it. The receptionists didn’t speak English and they had instructions in English instead. They don’t provide any water. You need to purchase them for 100yen each. I asked for Japanese room but they gave me beds instead. I had pleasant stay and would consider visiting again
