Hospitable, neat, friendly and warm. We really had a great time here. Very nice warm rooms that are very clean. The breakfast for 4 euros is delicious and quite extensive, something for everyone. Also a beautiful area and very close to all the sights. A big 10 for the hostess

It was close to Salzburg and I was impressed by the friendly reception. I wanted to stay for 2 nights but I was disappointed that there were no rooms. Parking is also free. Everything is great.

What I liked about this vacation rental was that the rooms were newly remodeled, comfortable,quiet with a nice balcony. The people were very nice and helpful with any questions we had it’s just the way any vacation rental should be run and even more. I know that if I visit in this area again I will surely try to get a room here. And I almost forgot about the wonderful breakfast every morning with the servers going around every table asking what type of egg I want for breakfast. I was with my travel group in Abtenau in May 2022! We spent a few wonderful days at Hotel Post! I can rightly say that it was the best thing I have met in my almost 48 years (as a tour manager of our association)! To highlight individual areas of hotel service would not be a complete response, because the correspondence was already very, familiarly passed in the planning! At the arrival we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Windhofer and his service staff and the room distribution and baggage transfer went smoothly and quickly! On the evening we first enjoyed different smack ＞ The first dinner was a gaume explosion that would have surprised gourmet experts and enchanted a good-willing smile on their lips! This experience continued the whole week at breakfast at dinner and buffet evening! The kitchen and service would be worth a gourmet guide with at least 3 stars! The staff's friendliness and helpfulness is also highlighted! There were no wishes that were not satisfied with the travel group more than fulfilled! Also the size and equipment of the rooms and the cleanliness of the pool - /Wellnesseinrichtung as well as the entire atmosphere of the Hotel Post has earned its 4 stars more than it! We will come back in the coming year (private with friends)!

The hotel was very nice and modern. The rooms were incredibly spacious, with great views from the enormous balcony. Food in both the breakfast buffet as well as the dinner was very good. But then we get to the things that pulled down the ratings hard; the staff. The person that sat behind the front desk was the least charming individual I’ve met in a long time. While sort of helpful, it often felt like we were bothering him with our questions. Same goes for the staff in the restaurant. Some of the staff didn’t even respond to our morning greetings. There were of course exceptions, with one of the servers being incredibly charming and friendly. Another boring thing was that the restaurant used table reservation for each room, so our room always got the same table for both breakfast and dinner for all of the three nights we stayed there. Very boring and while me might’ve wanted to sit out on the patio, that would not work since all the tables were pre-reserved each day. The breakfast buffet, while very nice in its selection and the quality of the food, was not replenished often enough by the staff. Same for the coffee. One pot per table and once my coffee loving wife had only hade two cups, we couldn’t find a single soul to give us a refill. In other hotels, like the excellent Scandic hotels where staff continuously cleared used plates, here no such thing happened. Overall, we weren’t super excited about the stay, despite many positive aspects. We will not return to this hotel.

Go to Hallstatt on the second day. Temporary hotel. This distance is far from the high speed. We stayed late. I feel that the store is not particularly enthusiastic. The room is quite satisfactory. There is an electric heater, so it won’t be cold at night. The bed and pillows were not particularly comfortable. There is no hair dryer in the room, so you need to ask the owner separately. All in all, for this price, this level of room is not worth it when it is not peak season.
