We had a very nice 4 day stay at this hotel, where the floor staff, Zheng Jing郑静，and Ye Guangzhu叶光珠, provided consistently attentive service. Whenever we requested additional water bottles or fresh towels, they were delivered to my room almost immediately. The hotel is one of the most well known 5 Star hotels in Hangzhou, though older, offers a modern and stylish ambiance. The food delivery robots always delighted the children. This hotel is extraordinary in terms of cost effectiveness. The location is also excellent.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Hangzhou recently, and my experience exceeded all expectations. Whether you are traveling for business or leisure, this hotel offers an outstanding combination of comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. Below, I’ll provide a detailed breakdown of my experience, from the check-in process to the room quality, dining options, and other facilities. 1. Location – Perfect for Exploring Hangzhou The location of the hotel is undoubtedly one of its biggest advantages. Situated just a few minutes' walk from the famous West Lake, it is incredibly convenient for those wanting to explore one of China’s most scenic attractions. The proximity to West Lake makes it easy to take early morning or evening walks along the picturesque waterfront, which I found very calming. Additionally, the hotel is close to several popular shopping streets, including Hubin Road, where you can find both luxury brands and local shops. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby, giving guests many dining options beyond the hotel itself. 2. Warm and Efficient Check-in Process From the moment I entered the hotel, I was greeted warmly by the staff. The lobby is spacious, elegant, and well-lit, giving off a luxurious yet comfortable vibe. Check-in was smooth and quick, with the front desk staff offering a welcome drink upon arrival. I appreciated their professionalism—they spoke fluent English and were well-prepared to answer all my questions about nearby attractions and transportation options. One thing that stood out was their attentiveness; they noticed I had traveled a long way and offered to expedite my check-in, which was a thoughtful touch. 3. Spacious and Well-Appointed Rooms The room I stayed in was a deluxe double with a partial view of West Lake. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had all the modern amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with plush pillows and high-quality linens that made it hard to get up in the morning! The room also had a large flat-screen TV, a work desk, and a cozy seating area by the window. The view from my room, although not directly facing the lake, still offered a lovely glimpse of the surrounding cityscape and greenery. One feature I particularly appreciated was the bathroom, which was clean, modern, and well-equipped with both a bathtub and a rainfall shower. The hotel provided premium toiletries and fluffy towels, which added a touch of luxury to the experience. The housekeeping service was impeccable—my room was always spotless, and they replenished water bottles and amenities daily without me needing to ask. 4. Dining – A Great Variety of Options The dining experience at the Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Hangzhou was truly impressive. The hotel’s main restaurant offers a large breakfast buffet that caters to both Western and Chinese tastes. I enjoyed starting my day with a wide selection of fresh fruits, pastries, eggs, and Chinese dim sum. They also had made-to-order noodle and omelet stations, which was a great touch. The food quality was excellent, and the service during breakfast was attentive, with staff regularly refilling coffee and tea without being asked. In addition to the breakfast buffet, the hotel offers several dining options throughout the day. I dined at their Chinese restaurant one evening, which specializes in Hangzhou cuisine. The dishes were authentic and flavorful—definitely a highlight of my trip. I recommend trying the local specialty, Dongpo Pork, which was cooked to perfection. Room service was also available 24/7, and I tried it once when I returned late from sightseeing. The food was delivered promptly, and the quality was on par with the restaurant meals.

Location was good, right by metro station and shopping mall with multiple dining options (fancy restaurants). Just few minutes walk to the lake. Very nice lounge with live music. Service was top notch, the staff was amazing, bilingual and very attentive to our needs. No lake view and facilities were a bit dated.

Very nice location and service yet we give them a short time notice to prepare the room for our anniversary yet they prepared the room very nicely and offered us an upgrade very thankful

Nice Hotel. Walking distance to a metro stop. Near two malls. Decent selection of restaurants nearby including western chains. Some stylish bars and clubs also nearby. Stayed only one night, but it was a very good experience. Only thing, watch out for the hot water coming out of the shower 😂

I'm from South Korea, my team and I stayed for two nights for a business meeting, and we had a truly satisfying experience. What we appreciated the most was our dining experience at the Chinese restaurant on Basement Level 4 over Sunday and Monday. We were able to enjoy delicious Chinese cuisine at a relaxed pace and at a reasonable price. Additionally, the staff thoughtfully and meticulously served the liquors without corkage charge. A particularly memorable moment occurred on Monday evening. Before the dessert was served, we accidentally settled the bill and returned to our room, forgetting about the dessert. However, the staff noticed this and kindly delivered a warm note, along with fruits and an apology message, to our room. This gesture left us deeply impressed and grateful. I just hope you to encourage their warm minds. As we have several more business trips planned to Hangzhou in the near future, we are already looking forward to staying at InterContinental again.

Facilities: The hotel has complete supporting facilities. This hotel is the first choice for hot springs. The hotel has an internal corridor design to connect the hot spring area, so it is not cold to walk indoors. It is very convenient to go to the front desk, the restaurant, and the hot spring center. It is said that there are 27 hot springs of all sizes, and there is also a children's water play area, which is so fun. Hygiene: The main body of the hotel has been open for several years and is in the retro Southeast Asian Bali style. Although it is a little retro, the interior is still clean, the bedding is also very comfortable, and the hygiene is acceptable. Environment: The hotel environment is in the Southeast Asian Bali style. The whole design is the feeling of a resort, surrounded by mountains and water, very casual and comfortable. Service: The hotel service is very good. Seeing that I brought my children here, I upgraded from a superior twin room to a superior twin room with a view. The room is larger and more comfortable, which makes it very convenient for us to enter and exit the lobby and restaurant. And let the slippers and bathrobes be delivered quickly, with a guest-first feeling. The sense of ceremony before leaving, the security uncle also gave two bottles of water at the gate, and the date is very fresh! If you come to Lin'an Tuankou to soak in the hot springs, this hot spring hotel is the first choice!

Before the New Year, my family of three came to the hot spring resort for a short stay. From the check-in front desk to the butler service, and the food in the restaurant, everything was impeccable. I felt refreshed after soaking in the hot springs, and my one-year-old baby had a lot of fun playing in the water. I will come again next time.
