Lovely little cottage accommodation. well priced, clean and very welcoming staff. Was allowed to book in early and leave at 12. This unit has everything you need. Yes, the place is old and the furniture is dated. BUT, it is extremely clean and tidy, everything works well, the beds are very comfortable and we slept all very well. The views over Hanmer are great. The lights and how they are switched show that everything is thought through, the heating and heat distribution is genius.

Positives: - Location: on the hill, in a parkland overlooking Hanmer Village and the mountains - Our chalet was spacious: consisted of main bedroom (double bed), living area (with two single beds, TV, couch and a small table), kitchen and bathroom - Kitchen was slightly cramped, but had all the necessary equipment - Free WiFi (not the fastest) - Reverse cycle air con Negatives: - Some of the rules were a 'little' strict, such as, a $50 fine for not doing the dishes - Uncomfortable, thin pillows - No fly screens on the windows to prevent insects from getting in

We love Hanmer Springs and we always stay at Greenacres. We always find our chalet to be clean and comfortable. We love the location within easy walking distance to town and of course the hot pools. The staff are always friendly and helpful. We're already looking forward to our next stay.

We stayed here because it was the only place available due to a busy public holiday weekend. It was very underwhelming fir what we paid ($145 a night) the living area was very clean, but the bedroom smelt like a musty old suitcase. We found a half used bottle of baby oil in the bedroom windowsill that wasn't ours (ew) and the bottom of the shower doors had mould and soap scum stuck in it. Only one option if tea or coffee and we got offered no milk. Gap under the front door let the cold air in so we blocked it up with our shoes or a sweatshirt. The bed was lumpy, squeeky and smelly, pillows were cheap and uncomfortable. No complimentry toiletries just a liquid hand soap, and no sky TV. Just a normal tv channel selection. Needless to say we did not enjoy our stay very much and won't be back. Nor would we recommend. Bust I must mention, new owners have only been there a couple of months we found out, so there may be improvements to come making it better value for money one day

Clean and tidy, nice outlook but hardest bed and worst pillows ever slept on. Main room light not working properly (flickering) and steps into cabin need some work. Could be really good with some care and attention- and mattress replacement!
