Heritage Villa in Old Quarter

When booking, don't be attracted by the cheap room rate, because you will be charged a surcharge of VND600,000 for your stay!!! It is basically twice the price!  After making the reservation, I saw that I had to pay another VND300,000 at the hotel, but since I couldn’t cancel, I gave it up and continued to stay. After arriving, the staff first asked us to wait, and then another person messaged me on WeChat and said that they couldn't find my reservation, so they couldn't contact me. They said that the hotel had a fire protection system inspection today, and asked us to check in in another building, which was a short drive away. It takes 10 minutes. Of course there is no shuttle bus, you can only take a taxi. Then the people on WeChat kept asking me to pay VND600,000 before I could leave. The reason was service fees, maintenance fees, and a lot of fees... Because I saw other messages after booking, I already knew that they would charge money indiscriminately like this, but I didn't expect it. It's such an unreasonable reason. I don't want to argue with him, so I have to pay. After staying here, I must leave a negative review. As for the new room, the layout is OK, but it is a little bit old. The biggest problem is that the shower head has insufficient water power, but everything else is fine. All in all, you don’t want to pay over VND600,000 (US$23) for a room like this. 

Since it is an apartment, not a hotel, there is no front desk. After arriving, I didn't know what to do, so I called out to the cafe on the first floor, and the person in charge guided me to my room. An additional 400,000 VND per day must be paid locally. This time I paid 3 times, so it was 1,200,000 VND. In the end, it was expensive, so if I had known when I made the reservation, I would have stayed at another hotel. It was good because it was close to ***, but... There is no towel exchange or room cleaning. If there is anything, they will respond via apps such as LINE. In the middle of the night and early morning, you enter and exit through the black gate next to the store, and you will receive the key to that gate along with the room. Since I checked out early in the morning, it was a bit of a hassle to return the key and other transactions. There is a stylish cafe on the first floor, so I bought takeout when I returned to my room. I don't recommend this place for people who are not very used to traveling, but I had no problems and was able to stay comfortably.
