Overall: Stayed two nights at Vantage Hills and absolutely loved the experience. The room was spacious, clean and had the most amazing views of the surrounding tea fields. The staff were very friendly, accommodative and cooperative. The amenities and architecture of the hotel looks chic and modern. If you're planning to visit any nearby attractions, the staff will arrange transportation (by tuk tuk) upon request. The place is a heaven for introverts and those who are looking forward to a calm, peaceful stay in a serene location surrounded by trees, mountains, mist and lush green tea fields. Possible areas for caution is the steep staircase which leads to the rooms and cabanas outside. We had an injury while climbing hastily as the edges are a bit sharp. But it's our own mistake and thought it would be better to keep visitors informed of this. The hotel is still under construction and hope they will make the ground floors more accessible for wheelchairs and elderly visitors as the steep climb may have some difficulties for some visitors. But, all in all, would highly recommend this place who are looking for a comfortable, reasonable and a high standard accommodation experience in Haputale. Will definitely visit next time to complete our pending list of activities in Haputale. Rooms: We booked the cabana type suit located separately from the main building. The room was spacious, clean and had a breathtaking view of the tea fields below. Nearby activities: The hotel is located at the heart of the Haputale town, which makes it easier to navigate to all the nearby sights and attractions. Here are some of the activities we did while at the hotel: 1. Taking a short walk to the Kelliebedda tea factory which is approximately 1.7KMs away from the hotel. Highly suggest taking the road starting from below the Haputale bus stand which leads to the factory through tea fields, which has breathtaking views. 2. Hiking stage 13 of the Pekoe trail. Took a tuk tuk from the hotel to St. Catherine's seat and did the hike in reverse from there to Haputale town. 3. Visiting Lipton's seat. Took a took from the hotel to Lipton's seat in the morning, which is 15.3KMs away from the hotel. The route is absolutely breathtaking and we heard that some prefer hiking, instead of traveling by a vehicle. The path has many viewpoints and attractions, including the Dambatenne tea factory, which you can take a tour. Highly recommend Falin from 'Tuk Tuk Safari & Trekking Tour' who gave us a fantastic tour from the hotel to Lipton's seat. 4. Adisham Bungalow The St. Benedict's monastery is located within 4KMs from the hotel. You can enjoy the beautiful views, study a bit of history of the bungalow and buy fresh produce like jams, chutney's, cordials made by the Benedictine fathers. 5. Hike the tea fields below The hotel is located in the middle of a scenic tea field and you can take a walk through the mist in the morning or in the evening when the climate is cooler. 6. Visit S
