Arrived at the Hotel pretty early and was delighted that my room was ready considering I had made my booking last minute. Tariro at reception desk was delightful however they couldn’t locate a porter for my luggage and Tariro assisted me personally which shows she understood there was an operational need and stepped in . The room was cozy and very clean 10/10 however there was mosquitoes on my ceiling, so many of them , the house keeper came through after I made a call to spray them all . No windows were open , they must have entered prior to my arrival. That evening I tried to order room service and the phone would not get through. I called reception desk and the were trying to assist which took 1 hour of back and forth calls just trying to make an order, finally reception managed to have them call me back and I finally made order. Violet was very friendly and helpful, I ordered all the food and drinks I was going to need that night because I wasn’t ready to call and wait another hour to get through . The food was absolutely amazing . I had an Alfredo done to perfection and ribs as well.. absolute 100%. Kudos to the chef ! Overall it was a good stay just service is a bit slow . I will definitely be coming again.
We have stayed in boutique hotels all over the world, and rarely have we been provided with such a completely artistic and aesthetic experience as we had at Amanzi Lodge. From our very first communication with the owner, Andrew Mama, and manager George, we were enveloped in what can only be described as Amanzi Lodge’s signature artistic hospitality. Every interaction throughout our entire stay was not just warm and friendly but genuinely above and beyond in its care and consideration. Each conversation with every staff member (from reception to gardeners to housekeeping to the magnificent restaurant crew) was a testament to the extraordinary level of attention and genuine kindness that defines Amanzi Lodge. Amanzi Lodge, with its beautiful gardens and unique charm, offers a truly memorable African experience. The attention to detail extends to every aspect of the stay, from the well-curated art pieces that adorn the interiors to the meticulously designed and maintained gardens that provide a serene and picturesque environment. The combination of fantastic food, interior design, and spectacular gardens showcases the very best of Africa, making every moment spent at Amanzi a celebration of beauty and artistry. When we travel, we always seek out a place to stay that can be a rejuvenating sanctuary after long days of exploring (or in the case of this trip, work and connections). Our stay in the Uganda Suite at Amanzi Lodge was nothing short of magical. The views were breathtaking, and the unique atmosphere of detailed elegance made us reluctant to ever leave the balcony. (Yes, even the balcony was indescribably special). While it would have been easy to just settle into and soak up the room, we are so glad we listened to adventure’s call and explored the breathtaking landscape that literally and figuratively flows throughout the entire property. Each time we ventured out to explore the Amanzi grounds, we were met with enchanting surprises. The interiors are exquisitely appointed, each room a masterpiece of design that feels both luxurious and welcoming, but the landscaping is a marvel, like strolling through a living art museum filled with vibrant sculptures and blooming flowers, reminiscent of a heaven-sent oasis. The owners, Julia and Andrew Mama, are the epitome of gracious hosts. Their warmth and friendliness made us feel like cherished guests and part of their extended family. They went above and beyond, connecting us with local artists and gallery curators, and their personal greetings in the corridors always came with a genuine smile and heartfelt conversation. Even now that we have returned home, the inspiration drawn from Amanzi Lodge continues to resonate. The space they have created is more than just a place to stay; it is a sanctuary of beauty, art, and heartfelt hospitality. For anyone looking for an unforgettable stay in Harare, Amanzi Lodge offers an unparalleled blend of comfort, elegance, and a deep connection to African art and

I’m glad I was able to look at the room before officially booking here, as I made a mistake and booked at another hotel and the pictures were nothing like that actual thing. I had a nice kind size bed, refrigerator, complimentary water, cable tv with Netflix and HBO options. There was an outside pool I’m terribly upset I didn’t get to utilize. Because I hadn’t made other plans, I was able to extend my stay for an additional night with no problems. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I’m glad I stayed here; will stay here again my next visit to Zimbabwe.

I've stayed at Bronte Hotel many times, and whenever I come back, I find the place as great as all the times before. The central location in Harare can't be beaten, and yet the place has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere as if it was located somewhere way outside the city centre. The lovely garden invites you to chill, especially after a hard day's work, and the restaurant offers you a good variety of food. I recommend Bronte Hotel to everybody who visits Harare. As for myself, I will certainly be back.
My company has visited York Lodge over many years and it never fails to impress. A beautiful serene atmosphere surrounded by wonderful gardens, with fabulous food served by delightful staff. Thank you York Lodge!

LLiezlThe Hotel Staff are extremely polite and really go out of their way in making your stay pleasant. Check-in was quick and efficient, I was really impressed with the service. The breakfast buffet was delicious and they had staff assisting you with whatever you wanted. I can really say that off all the hotels I've been to, this one definitely has the best service. It's not the Hilton but the service definitely of high quality.
GGuest UserExcellent staff (Terrence) , clean rooms, great security! Definitely coming back again! Was a breath of fresh air from the normal overpriced hotels. Quite happy to recommend
The rooms where need and tidy and with the expected extras that come with your standard hotels. Positive: very friendly staff, your access card is your key to elevator, neat place and no noise. Negative: could do with a mini fridge and you need to bring your own food if you don’t want to leave your room. Overall assessment: I would definitely come back and would recommend the place to friends, colleagues and family. Great job.
SsanverVisa on arrival is 60 USD. The overall cost performance of this guest house is high, after all, hotels in Harare are too expensive. There is free breakfast. The downside is that the WiFi is sometimes disconnected, the shower sometimes has no hot water, sometimes no cold water, and the water supply is unstable. For dining nearby, you can consider walking to Pick n Pay, where there are Chicken Inn, Bakery Inn, Pizza Inn, Nando's, Chicken Slice to choose from. If you want to take a taxi, you can download Indrive.
GGuest UserI have stayed on multiple occasions, including recently in June 23, at the newly refurbished N! Rotten Rowe Hotel for functional business travel. I was looking for cost-effective accommodation for routine stays in Harare, and I got much more than I anticipated. The location, accommodation and business facilities are excellent for short term business stay and the hospitality team as well as the general ambiance inside the hotel is professional, friendly and super efficient. It makes sense to stay where everything just 'works'. Wifi is excellent, there is around the clock service desk, and the team lends a helping hand wherever they can. For a budget-stay, this is a cut above. Good job N1 group!
IIsaacBooked this guest house based on the reviews that I had read. It is a very basic guest house and in my view, will require some improvements to meet some minimum international standards.
The positive is that the WiFi worked very well and hence once on site could stay in touch with family and friends. Also the staff were very friendly and appearedto work with what they had at their disposal.
Areas of improvements:
1. Not sure if the guest house had master keys to the rooms. Our room was never cleaned for the period that we were there. Not sure if because we went out with the key or we had to request for the room to be clean.
2. We were not given towels and it was good we have carried some towels with us. It will be extremely good to provide towels and should be already present in the room when the guest arrives.
3. The bathroom had no mirror so when I needed to shave, I had to come back to the bedroom to use the mirror.
4. It appeared the whole guest house has only one kettle and hence if you needed what water, you needed to request for the kettle. Worst still the bedroom did not have the socket for the kettle's plug and hence had to go back to the reception to heat the water.
5. Although the guest house is advertised as having a kitchen, this was in an outhouse and you have to leave the main guest house to use the kitchen. Worst is that the kitchen was not ready when we arrived and it is not well kitted, and in my opinion should not be advertised as a guest house with a kitchen.
6. Finally, the guest house did not have a stanby generator and on one of the nights, the lights went off from @2am local timm till mid morning.
GGuest UserThe rooms were clean, surrounding areas also clean, desk service was good,
However I got food poisoning from the pies on the downstairs food counter. I mentioned it but no one seemed to be concerned.
JJokomoThe service was extremely terrible and slow starting from the reception to the restaurant, the beverages took forever to come through, the main meal wasn’t all that great. Extremely Disappointing especially for the price and being the most expensive hotel in Harare.
GGuest UserI booked the executive double bed room online and upon arrival they told me I could not stay in that room for one night because someone else had booked that room. I refused and told them I can not take another room . i was then told to top up usd$15 because the online priced are apparently different from their original prices. I wanted to speak to the manager but the stuff made it clear that the maanger can not be seen. at a certain point I waited almost 2 hours at the reception trying to get hold of the manager. if you wanna stay at this guest house dont book online, rather go in person and see what you are paying for. the location is good but I was disappointed with their services. they also need proper tissues and towels in their rooms .
The average price for hotels in Harare is AED 491 on weekdays, and AED 493 on weekends (Friday-Saturday).
