A bit old but overall good in terms of service and friendliness. Staff are courteous and helpful. Lots of restaurants around this area. Not far from the train station.

The hostel owners are very friendly and helpful, which make the vibes here unique. I wish the rooms were cleaner and the AC wouldn't blow out moldy dust.
If you travel solo and are not super picky about cleanliness and like to meet like-minded Chinese people, this is a great place to stay.

This youth hostel is just the best youth hostel I have ever been to. The people are really nice, friendly and can speak english. This is a must place in Harbin. It's a lot of fun for kids and adults to be able to be creative, cook, and play music or sing on the stage. We made a pen out of wood, and made some baozi. I recommend it for people who want to have fun and make some new friends. We have great souvenirs of this place and hope to be able to come back soon.

We played games together, sang together, and chatted together. The boss and his wife were especially nice.
