We had a very comfortable stay at the Rothesay House Inn. It is an older home, but very well appointed with all the amenities you need. The innkeepers are very friendly and helpful, and make some great recommendations for the area. We would stay there again if returning to the area.

We drove up to the most beautiful heritage house on the waterfront set in a lush garden of colourful spring flowers. Our host and hostess, George and Lynn, were exceptional in making us feel welcome and to educate us on the area offering help on any of our forthcoming plans. The room with generous ensuite we had overlooked the garden plus a small view of the harbor. We were offered the use of a lovely book filled den plus an outside veranda that ran the length of the home. Breakfast was served in an intimate dining room - Lynn is an exceptional cook and the breakfast was large and scrumptious. George regaled us with stories. Other guests soon became friends! A happy place. All on all a welcome experience that we would undoubtedly recommend to others. Brian and Donna

I travel...alot. This means when on vacation trying to find accommodations that are far from the regular hotel room and amenities. I found it here! Lynn and George are undoubtedly the major draw to Rothesay House, but once you are there? Wow, a beautiful home and accommodations, combined with the warmth and friendliness of the hosts make Rothesay a place to experience. After the morning hike on the Pirate's Path trail, it was a return to an amazing breakfast of homemade goodies and omelets by Lynn. This is a place you must put on your list when visiting the Avalon Peninsula.

Lynn and George are such wonderful hosts. We arrived late and were too tired to go out for dinner. They offered us bowls of the hearty beef barley stew they had made for their own dinner, plus homemade bread. We had great conversations. They explained the history of their gorgeous home and the surrounding area. The room was very comfortable and clean with a view of the bay. Highly recommend!

We were welcomed with open arms and treated with great kindness here. Clearly innkeeping is an avocation for this lovely couple. The place is spotless and has a grand feel to it. Breakfast was most enjoyable, and the room was comfortable. A great place to stay!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay with Lynn and George who epitomize the word “hosts”. By far the best B&B we stayed at during our 2 week travels in Newfoundland. The location was perfectly central for exploring the peninsula and beyond, and also offered a beautiful trail you can walk to, just down the road, named Pirates Path. George would be delighted to tell you it’s history as well as share his formidable knowledge of entire area. Lynn’s marvellous taste in decor is evident throughout this historic gem and her talents extend to the kitchen with exquisite breakfasts that will delight you. The bedrooms are spotless, the beds very comfortable and the overall ambience knocks it out of the park.

The B&B looks amazing and is very well maintained. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment given the great looks of the Inn itself. It was good but nothing to rave about. The location is good if you plan on visiting the area. The husband and wife who own the place are very social and helpful.

George and Lynn fantastic hosts, warm, welcoming, knowledge of the history of this stately Heritage House. George is entertaining, funny and charming, Lynn a marvelous hostess and welcoming to their home. Lynn served up a wonderful breakfast with fresh fruit, with cream, granola, egss and sausage and dressed up wedge of tomato and choice of juice and got beverage...yum. Thank you for the impeccable clean room and onsite, we will be back, highly recommend.

Lovely Bed and Breakfast! George and Lynn are excellent hosts and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Knowledgeable about the area and helpful as we were searching our family history. Beds are comfortable and the ambiance in each carefully decorated bedroom so delightful! The breakfast was excellent and you have to come down a bit early to take in the decor of that room!! Thank you both for a wonderful stay!
