I went to Miyajima on a family trip and used it for the first time. This inn will respond as flexibly and pleasantly as possible to the wishes of the guests. For example, in our case this time, when we told our family in advance that there are people with bad legs, they can install a bed in a Japanese-style room, and change the basic dishes provided to each person's taste. Even if I was lost, I was able to make a flexible response and suggestion immediately, so I was able to spend a very comfortable time. The hot spring is in the basement, and it has an old-fashioned atmosphere with only a large bathtub １, and it is not so large, and the scenery is not good because it is in the basement. Compared to the hot spring resorts devised at this time, it may feel unsatisfactory, but it is clean and the temperature is around ４０ degrees, so it is ”good old” while taking a long bath. I felt that it was a place to enjoy. It was stated that the quality of the hot water was slightly salty and smooth, and it was pumped and boiled from the source. I was able to take a comfortable bath without being squeezed or dry even by families with weak skin. Unfortunately, there are no open-air baths or private baths, but some rooms have open-air baths with rooms, so I think you can choose according to your taste. What should be noted here is the wonderfulness of the food. The amount of meals varies or is insufficient depending on the course and price, which is often a big preparation at such a large inn, and the impression and quality of appearance are greatly different from the images on the site. Instead of having a sense of failure such as the dishes that were cold at the time of serving inn dishes, we were able to provide a wonderful dish of a more impressive level. This time we were in the room, and it was originally said that Masazen was the basic set, but ４ kind of seasonal course dishes (Masazen, delicious fish, delicious meat, delicious feast) with guidance on the site. I requested it at the stage of advance reservation and received everything with my family. There is no loss at all in every course, and the abundant ingredients unique to the land are carefully prepared, and all of them are very delicious, and the individual dishes requested by the order are prepared quickly. At the end, he made rice balls for dinner, which were full and could not be eaten, and he was able to provide a supreme time beyond the best. In addition, the breakfast at the dining hall I received the next morning was surprisingly luxurious with a large number of items, but the amount was gradually appropriate and very satisfying. The location is very good, just a few minutes walk to the Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Mt. Misen Ropeway station. There is a free shuttle bus station right outside the hotel to go the ropeway station. You can see the Torii throughout the hotel window. At night when the Torii with lights on, the view is stunning! The indoor onsen is not big but it's ok for 10+ people at the same time, the outside onsen is small and can only occupies 4-5ppl. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and thoughtful. I was fully wet after the hiking to Mt. Mismen on the raining day, they helped me to dry all my shoes and coat. Happy to stay at Iwaso and will definitely stay again.

Near the pier, up a hill, the environment is quiet, the bathhouse is not big, and fortunately there are not many people. The breakfast is exquisite. Some of the waiters are from Taiwan, so communication is no problem. From the rooms on the sixth floor of the hotel, you can see the old ruins of Miyao Castle on the key mountain (the site of the Itsukushima Battle), and you can see the large torii gate from the side, and the view is acceptable.

The evening buffet had a wide variety of food, and beer and wine were all-you-can-drink. Pancakes ordered in the morning were also included. In the lounge, water, tea, and soft drinks were all-you-can-drink, and ice cream and momiji manju were even available for free, so we used them many times when we came back drenched in sweat in the middle of summer. The whole family was very satisfied, and it's a place we'd like to stay again and recommend to our friends.

Felt welcomed by the hotel staff, shared rooms have properly divided beds. Fully equiped with basic amenities such as shampoo, body gel, towels, lockers... The lounge was full of books to read (tourism books, novels, manga...) and is tastefully decorated. Family-friendly place. Close to the local train line that travels to Miyajimaguchi harbour (Ferry to the island) in barely 6 minutes. Great experience overall.

The open-air bath on the room was very good. There is also a large communal bath on the 9th floor. The scenery is very good, so we recommend the 5th and higher floors.

The hosts at this Ryoken are so welcoming, friendly and helpful! They picked us up from the ferry terminal when we arrived and dropped us back there on departure. This was crucial as we would have otherwise struggled with our suitcases up the hills and through the labyrinth of small streets! The location is a little bit away from the central area, but that is what we wanted. It was so peaceful at night, the deer wandered past our the front as we relaxed in the open air footpath. The food was nothing short of excellent. They specialise in seafood dishes so if you have an allergy it would be important to let the hosts know before you arrive. The rooms were simply and elegantly appointed: we had everything we needed. The onsen onsite was fantastic! After a long day of walking we felt very relaxed afterwards.
