Our previous trip staying in Novotel Sydney for 9 days was unpleasant as the room cleaning was always not done and have to constantly calling the housekeeper to send the staffs to clean it. This trip during the Hotel Check in , I’ve brought it up to the counter staff, and we don’t face the same issues like last trip. During our 7 days staying, 1st day hotel sent the complementary fruits/cheese platter to our rooms. And the most important that our both room was cleaned, towel changed, etc. out 1st nite, we have a splendid dinner at St Thomas Kitchen in the hotel. The steaks was nicely done, the side dishes and desserts was great ! Have ordered room service for burger and salad, tast good and food delivery was fast. Will stays there again for our next trip.

I spent a night in Sydney to have some great food and entertainment and Mantra’s location did not disappoint! Right in the doorstep is George street’s bustling precinct with countless excellent restaurants and eats from all corners of Asia, movies, gaming centres and gorgeous China town. The room was great with a kitchen, bathtub and lounging area. WiFi was excellent and the bed was super comfortable if you like some good support. Highly recommended!

I stayed in a 6-person room for girls. There were several large windows, which provided plenty of light. The room was not crowded, the mattress was comfortable, and someone came to clean the room every day. The roommates were friendly. The kitchen was large and convenient for cooking. The location of the hotel was very convenient, close to Chinatown and the market. The food and drinks were good. The staff was friendly and the stay was very comfortable. The free breakfast was not very rich, but it basically met the needs. It was enough and fresh. I will come again next time. It is economical and affordable.

The location was perfect, practically next to the light rail in Chinatown, restaurants and coffee shops all around, and the Capitol Theater downstairs. The hotel was very clean, the beds nice and comfy, and the staff were very nice and helpful. Great place to stay in Sydney.

The location was great. Pitt St is right next door, but the alley where the hotel is located is quiet. There is an Indonesian supermarket right next door that stocks some Korean products. There was a Korean staff member at the hotel, so communication was very easy, and since I arrived at 7 a.m., I needed to store my luggage, and they kindly helped me. However, you have to wait a long time at check-in/check-out time. There are a lot of people, but there are only 1-2 employees... The facilities are a bit old, but there is no problem at all with your stay. Many tools such as toasters and kitchen utensils are provided. Even a microwave.

Most of the staff was friendly, especially the receptionist. The capsules look very futuristic and are quite big. There is a huge common room where you can watch TV and play billiards. But the design of the hotel is very poor, for instance the cabins of the toilets are way too small. Same applies to the bathroom. Some parts in the bathrooms are broken (leaking waste drains and shower heads etc.). The kitchen was very dirty and smelly. Was a nightmare to cook there.

The hotel was completely and meticulously renovated. 😀 I am blown away by the sleek and simple yet modern and elegant hotel lobby . The high ceiling and the bricks give a voluminous feel. The hotel reception very friendly and proactive. The room floor consistent in terms of design and use of colour. Very eye soothing. The location unbeatable and surrounded by heaps of eateries and shops. Distance to central station only 5 min by foot. Super nice hotel and will come back

TTarotttDuring the mid-term holiday at the end of March 24, I traveled from Melbourne to Sydney by myself. It was my first time staying in a youth hostel. I chose this youth hostel based on the reviews. The youth hostel is on the 6th floor. There is an elevator upstairs, so you don’t have to carry your suitcase up the stairs. This youth hostel should be run by Koreans. Most of the guests are Koreans. The Korean lady at the front desk has a very good attitude. The youth hostel has very strict silence rules. It doesn’t matter in the public area, but remember to bring headphones when you return to your bed. Everyone abides by it very well. When each guest first checks in, a clean blanket, a large bath towel and a small shower gel will be placed on the bed. There is a wall lamp on the wall of the bed, with a separate switch. Each bed has 2 sockets, but 2 conversion plugs cannot be plugged in at the same time, but one socket is enough. Each room has a row of storage cabinets, one bed and one cabinet. The storage space is large enough for a suitcase with a length, width and height of 140cm + a schoolbag. Remember to bring your own lock. I haven’t used the public kitchen, so I won’t comment on it. Remember to label your things in the refrigerator. I hope the experience is useful to everyone.

VVSingWhen I booked two Deluxe Family Rooms at Furama Darling Harbour for a 6-day stay with family, I had high hopes for comfort, convenience, and a pleasant experience. Here’s how it went. Location: Convenient, but Parking Woes The location of Furama Darling Harbour is undoubtedly one of its highlights. Nestled within walking distance of numerous restaurants offering cuisines from all over the globe, it was a food lover's dream. Finding the hotel wasn’t a challenge either, thanks to clear signage and central placement. However, the parking situation? That’s another story. The hotel doesn’t have an on-site parking lot. Instead, we had to park about a five-minute walk away, which isn’t ideal when lugging bags or dealing with Sydney’s occasional drizzle. Plus, the cost added up—$244 AUD for six days. If parking convenience matters to you, it’s worth factoring this in. Cleanliness: Mixed Experiences Cleanliness was... average, to say the least. While the first day seemed fine, housekeeping didn’t exactly shine as the stay went on. On Day 2, we were surprised (and not in a good way) to find dirty towels left after the room was cleaned. Fast forward to Day 5, and we found toilet paper and stray hairs under the blanket after housekeeping had supposedly “refreshed” the space. Not exactly the five-star housekeeping you’d hope for. To be fair, we didn’t raise the issue with reception that evening—it was our last night, and we figured housekeeping staff would already be off-duty. But, as a guest, you shouldn’t have to weigh these options. Service: Quick and Friendly, But a Breakfast Mishap Service at Furama Darling Harbour was a bright spot overall. The staff were warm, responsive, and accommodating, whether it was resolving issues with the TV or bringing up extra towels. That said, we hit a snag with the included breakfast. Our booking clearly stated breakfast for four people per room, which should have covered eight of us across two rooms. Yet, when we went down, they claimed the booking only covered four breakfasts total. After some back-and-forth with both hotel staff and Trip’s customer service, the issue was resolved. But it wasn’t exactly a stress-free start to the day. Facilities: Functional, But Nothing Fancy The gym was basic but functional—a single machine covering major muscle groups, though no free weights were in sight. It’s fine if you’re just looking to get in a quick workout. The laundry room was handy, though a bit pricey: $5 AUD each to wash and dry, plus $3 AUD for detergent. Breakfast, while initially enjoyable, became repetitive after two days. A buffet should ideally offer more variety, but here the options changed only slightly. Updating the in-room TVs to include smart features wouldn’t hurt either; it felt like the tech was stuck in the past. Rooms: Spacious and Comfortable Now, for the standout feature—the rooms. They were impressively spacious, with plenty of room for our luggage and still enough space to move around comfortably. The beds? Absolute heaven. I slept like a rock every night, with no noise disturbances or distractions. The bathroom mirrored this sense of space, steering clear of that cramped, claustrophobic feeling that some hotels suffer from. It’s refreshing to stay somewhere that values comfort this much. Final Thoughts: Worth a Stay, Despite Flaws Would I recommend Furama Darling Harbour? Absolutely, especially for families. The spacious rooms, friendly service, and fantastic location make it a strong contender. Yes, cleanliness and parking could use improvement, but the positives—comfortable beds, quiet nights, and accommodating staff—outweigh the negatives. If you can overlook a few quirks and minor inconveniences, Furama offers a good home base for exploring Sydney. Just be ready for some parking acrobatics and keep an eye on those housekeeping details!

8852kmGood location, just 10 minutes by foot can reach the Central station. So very easy to go to the Airport. The hotel was behind a busy street, so not very noisy. It is close to the China Town light rail station & can walk to George Street within 10 minutes. Also easily to go to the Town Hall, QVB & Opera House by light rail. There are many restuarant around the hotel with many good food. Coffee shop is plenty. The room was clean & tidy. Although I ordered a limited house keeping, the hotel still gave me a 3days house keeping!!! It is out of my expectation, Good job.
