Booked into the nearest Premier Inn for work purposes the following day and after a long day at work, it was so nice to walk into a brightly lit area, be greeted and for once in my life, a seamless check in experience using the self service / automated system. Getting my access card was simple and then I travelled up the lift to my floor. My access card worked for access to my floor and then worked again when entering my room - didn't have to run back downstairs to get it renewed!! My room was welcoming and I literally had a coffee and went to bed - as an early start beckoned. The room was clean & tidy as was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable as it didn't take long for me to drift off. The only little thing I would say is that it was too warm but better than being cold I guess! Waking up in the morning, a long hot shower was enjoyed before attending breakfast. Unlike some locations, breakfast is served here from 0630 hours so helping myself to a coffee before sitting down, I enjoyed the cooked breakfast selection along with the fruit, bread & pastries!! Checking out was even easier, said thanks and goodbye whilst dropping my access card into the nominated box! Job done! Thank you to all at Haywards Heath, I was more than ready to face another day!

Tiny parking spaces charged at London prices even despite a discount code they don’t bother to give you at check in. The bed has a nice mattress but awfully hard pillows. I didn’t bother staying the 2nd night I’d booked, and won’t be returning.

Stayed 3 nights for a work trip, arrived to parking issues - basically no parking. We were told by staff on duty that we could park in disabled bays but may be asked to move and could not reserve parking but street parking was available near by. We were given 3 keys and told to take whichever room but as 2 of us were staying for 3 nights and 1 of us staying for only 1 night this led to some confusion and 2 of us were checked out after arriving back from a days work. The saving grace on this trip was meeting Louisa and Ben. I had the pleasure of seeing Ben for 2 nights of our stay, he was checking in, answering guest enquiries, serving the bar AND cooking food to order, all while being friendly, professional and extremely courteous. Louisa checked us out and couldn't apologise enough for the trouble we had experienced, she took time to resolve a 2nd accidental check out issue we had and her honesty in the resolution was a breath of fresh air. Louisa was a lovely to deal with and it's clear both she and Ben are asset to the company. Also a mention for Steve who's attention to detail was not only extremely kind but also very much appreciated. Thanks to all 3 of you for making the trip so much better than it started.

The hotel is in a good location, just across the road from the train station which is one stop into Brighton. The hotel is clean and staff seem polite. Our only downfall was the cold breakfast we paid £10.99 for. We asked for it to be heated and we’re just served more cold sausages and bacon! But overall, it was one night, £135 for one room and breakfast which is ok (ish!)

This is still the best Premier Inn we have stayed in by far. Conveniently placed, across the road from the Station for easy travel to London and Brighton. Up the Road, on The Broadway is an abundance of Cafes, Restaurants and Bars to choose from. (We went a little further to South Road for a Curry). On our second night we ate in the Hotel and had a lovely meal on, 'The Meal Deal' in conjunction with breakfast. Breakfast was good, cooked and continental breakfasts were available. The staff we found over the two days, to be friendly, helpful and polite. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom shower was very good too. So we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Highly recommend!

Nice room, very clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable and there were spare pillows if you needed them. Bathroom was clean, needed a bit if tlc especially by the shower area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bit if a mix up with our rooms. We were staying on the night before my son's wedding so our surnames are the same. The person that checked us in did not look at the actual booking reference number so I was given my son's room in error. This was eventually sorted out but my son was not very happy with the flip way it was handled. Parking has to be paid for and the car park is very small so we were lucky to get a space. The train stn is directly opposite the hotel so if you are coming by train this us not a problem. We were given a discount code for parking and I was charged £6.40 instead of £13.00 which was not too bad considering that I stayed from 16.00 on Friday until around 10.30 on Saturday. Overall, we had a good experience but checking in staff really need to be using booking numbers to avoid confusion.

Checked in for work only a short stay but room was clean , comfortable and had everything you needed. Tried the breakfast before checking out can’t fault it or the staff will be back. Lots to do in the area and only short walk from the train station which is convenient

Soft bed, the best was having a bath in the bedroom with plenty of hot water. The room missed a fridge and had minimal space to store things if you are there for a few days or more. It’s a shame the windows don’t open to get some fresh air. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a nice stay. All the staff were nice and helpful.

Usually you know what you get with a Premier Inn and it is our usual 'go-to' hotel of choice when staying over somewhere. We booked this hotel due to it's close location to a family member we were visiting for the weekend. The hotel's location is great, right next to the train station if needed and Clair Park behind (with Parkrun located here for your weekend exercise fix!). However parking at the hotel is limited and costs £12 for 24 hours. There is free parking on the neighbouring roads at the weekend but this may not be practical if you have young children/lots of baggage. Our room was a family room located on the ground floor. We had a double and 2 single beds, but on arrival there was only 2 towels so we had to go straight back to reception to request more towels for the 4 people staying in the room. The door to our corridor was broken so anybody was able to access it without the keycard, as this was directly off the foyer it meant anybody could walk straight into the hotel and into our corridor without having an issue which wasn't very security conscious. When I informed a manager about the door I got the reply of "oh yes we've logged a call" but this was not fixed during our 3 night stay so I'm unsure on the length of time this was an issue. The curtains in our room were off their track, which was problematic as a neighbouring building (not anything to do with Premier Inn) had a dodgy security light which flashed continuously throughout the night illuminating the bedroom. The remote didn't work as the batteries needed replacing. We requested housekeeping to empty our bins and replace our towels and the batteries in the remote at 09:00 on our 2nd morning and when we returned to the hotel at 20:00 with 2 sleepy young children this was not done, requiring the manager to come do it whilst I tried to keep our children asleep. He offered us a free breakfast to apologise but we were leaving early the next morning so were unable to take breakfast. Overall the hotel was adequate and we will stay again due to it's proximity to family however it is tired and not well cared for compared to other Premier Inns we have stayed at across the country.
