We wanted to spend one night on Helgoland in order to avoid the daytime tourist hordes on our walk around the island. Hotel Helgolandia was centrally located and reasonably budget-friendly. It's about a 20-minute walk from the ferry port, and if you have a lot of luggage, there is a delivery option offered by the ferry service. Since check-in was not until 3 pm we had lunch at the hotel's Asian restaurant before making our way to the nearby Helgoländer Botschaft which handles the check-in and check-out for a variety of properties. Rather inconvenient when a ferry-load of visitors arrives/departs. We had an attic room up three flights of stairs, no lift. The room, though compact, was great, with a well-thought-out layout and by all appearances freshly renovated. Large windows let in plenty of daylight, although there was no view to rave about. There was only one small mirror, and this was in the bathroom which had no power outlet to plug in the supplied hair dryer. We did not pre-book breakfast, but you could have it in the restaurant downstairs. However, just a few steps away was a bakery where you could put together your own basic breakfast at much less cost. If we were to return to Helgoland we would be happy to stay again in an attic room at this hotel.

What a great little hotel . Bit strange that we had to check in at the travel agents and eat breakfast at another separate cafe but once worked out, it was all very simple and efficient. Staff were great and the hotel is above a Thai/Chinese restaurant so only met staff when open Room was very compact but had all your needed including free mini bar. Highly recommended and also included complimentary tickets on lift to higher part of the island albeit a ticket just €1

Mitten im Ort und doch total ruhig. Sehr geräumig und neue Einrichtung. Schon wäre es, wenn man bei der Buchung schon Frühstück dazu buchen könnte. Das lässt sich aber beim Schlüssel abholen noch nachholen. Mülltrennung ist vorbereitet, es gibt einen Mülleimer mit drei großen Fächern. Leider ist nichts beschriftet. Dann macht so ein Behälter wenig Sinn.

Das Hotel ist gut gelegen, das Ein- und Aus-checken lief problemlos. Der kleine Raum und das Bett waren zufriedenstellend hergerichtet. Es gibt genügend Stauraum. Das Badezimmer befand sich bei Einzug leider in einem nur mangelhaft gereinigten Zustand. Auf dem Fliesenboden sowie am Duschwannenrand befanden sich grobe, matschige Schuhabdrücke, auf dem Toilettensitz dunkle, angetrocknete Tropfen. Die Wände sind sehr hellhörig und da das Zimmer am Treppenaufgang liegt, sind die Bewegungen der anderen Hotelgäste stets zu hören.

Wir waren mit dem Hotelzimmer sehr zufrieden. Für eine Nacht war alles ok. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt währe das Zimmer zu klein. Negativ: Die Wegebeschreibung. Wir waren zuerst im Appartementhaus Helgolandia und wunderten uns daß der Schlüssel bei Zimmer 1 nicht reagierte. Wir wüden jederzeit wieder bei Ihnen buchen.

Bitte angeben, dass es keinen Fahrstuhl gibt und man 40 Stufen bis zur oberen Etage hat. Nicht jeder Mensch ist gut zu Fuß. Danke

Leider hat uns das Zimmer überhaupt nicht zugesagt. Überall waren viel zu niedrige Dachschrägen und ich habe mir überall mehrfach den Kopf gestoßen. Wir würden auf keinen Fall mehr in dieses Zimmer gehen. Wir wollten erst auch um ein anderes Zimmer bitten aber haben uns dann für 2 Nächte damit abgefunden. Außerdem kann das Zimmer so wie es war niemals einen 3 Sterne Standart haben. Wir werden also diese Grünkohltour so nie wieder buchen. Leider wurde uns dadurch die Reise auf die wir uns so gefreut haben sehr getrübt. Leider stank auch das ganze Zimmer extrem nach Fett von dem Restaurant im Erdgeschoss. Das Frühstück war aber soweit in Ordnung, auch die Inselführung hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Schönes Gästehaus mit geräumigem Zimmer und kleinem Balkon. Im Winter sehr ruhig gelegen. Wenn man Einschränkungen hat, sollte man lieber etwas mit Aufzug buchen.
