Arrived 07:00 after a nightmare journey from Manchester only to be told they couldn't let us use the room we had paid for until 11:00 because it was past 05:30 and the booking system wouldn't let them. My 9 and 10 year old were not pleased. I slept 3 hours on the beach instead. Desk staff claimed it was a policy. Couldn't find it anywhere in emails or online. Emailed for refund but no reply. Avoid avoid avoid.

lovely helpful people at the reception desk each day. Especially as we had a baby with us and needed the extra support. They were friendly, kind and funny! Nice clean room with comfortable beds and really good food and breakfast. Enough plug sockets as we had quite a few gadgets and gizmos for our baby and four year old.

Room was way too hot, was given two fans both did not work. No signal at all in there which I feel should be stated. I paid extra for Wi-Fi that didn’t work. I tried to turn on the light switch and it sparked off. I did tell customer service people day & night staff but unfortunately they didn’t care. The heating didn’t work, water kept going on & off while in the shower, extractor wasn’t working. The TV kept going crackly, The TV remote didn’t work. I had to buy batteries myself and replace them. Really overall poor and the WORST NIGHTS SLEEP I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!

I stay in hotels most weeks Monday through Friday for work and I have to say the reception staff in Helston are the most welcoming and attentive I have come across, always smiling faces, asking how my day has been, which really lightens my day when away from home. Kallen especially no matter what time of day or night I arrive he has a big smile and Lynne every evening checks if I’ve had a good day!

This was a 2week stay with my wife the hotel is one of the best we have stayed at all the staff from management to reception are all welcoming nothing is too much troublesome for them. We had an accessible wet room this was clean and tidy and ideal for our disability good bed as always absolutely nothing more as a hotel they could do and plan to go back later in the year. Now not such a good experience was the breakfast we were greeted by a woman named Sandy who had a look like she didn’t want to be there, then she came with such venom at us and others told us were to sit and what was where in a tone like I wish you go away. Then a bright light called Denice came with a smile and cheerful personality. But the worst was to come by the lack of choice cereal only 3 of 6 filled plus no alpen bags no bananas all they said was it didn’t get delivered this lasted 7days not what we expected, coffee machine breaking down waiting for things been filled.plus on a night quite a few things not available but the night team were very good under a packed house but always cheerful. Myself my partner and my elderly mum stayed at Helston premier inn for 2 nights. While my partners and 1 room was perfect my elderly mum who has mobility issues was given a ground floor accessible room which unfortunately was entirely suitable. The shower was over the bath which was impossible for her to get into so she couldn’t shower for the 2 days staying and had to use the sink. Other than that the hotel and staff are lovely.

Arrived in very early hours of 14/04/25 with a bunch of work colleagues and waited, told by receptionist himself when he appeared that we had woken him up! Breakfast was already paid for but told by receptionist that I have to book a time for breakfast across the way at the pub, which I did. As with Premier Inn, couldn’t really fault the room, it was clean, bed comfy and had everything that was needed for an overnight stay so can’t fault it. Went to breakfast about 3hrs after I had checked in, (0630) walked into an empty pub to be told by the lady that a time had not been booked. When I said, it had only been a few few hours ago it was booked by reception, I was met with huffing, puffing, her looking through the bookings list, still mumbling and basically called me a liar , I corrected her and said don’t speak to me in that tone, at which point she looked around a completely empty pub as if struggling where she would sit me, walked to the nearest table and said it’s buffet help yourself. She not only needs a lesson in customer service but also basic manners. I see the lad from reception outside smoking when I went back and he assured me he had booked it. Not a great impression of the staff from what is a nicely situated decent hotel.

Lynne and Larry, the night staff at Premier Inn Helston were extremely helpful during my stay. They were both very helpful in sourcing night time snacks, given an ‘Out of order’ vending machine. They went above and beyond for me. Really appreciate these guys. They are a testament to good customer service.
