The hotel is nice and clean. Check in was fast, easy and done in friendly way.The owner and his family are very nice. The owner is more than willing to pick you up and send you to the train station. an added bonus as transportation can be slow in coming. It's close to the mountain entrance and temple. About a 10 minute walk to NanYue Temple and across from the temple you can buy tickets to go up the mountain. Very convenient. The hotel also helped us to plan our excursions. Another 10-15 minute walk to NanYue center for some KFC coffee. If you are looking for a quiet place away from the crowds but within walking distance of attractions this is it.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel in order to go hiking in Hengshan.
Pros : room very clean and comfortable, quiet place, the manager is very friendly. He will pick you up at the train station, bring you to the scenic area, pick you up afterwards... You can go very quickly at the train station (8-9 minutes) from the hotel if you have an early train. It is around a 15 minute walk from the main area with a lot of restaurants and the entrance of the scenic area. There are restaurants very close from the hotel as well (a nice one is at maybe 4 minutes walk in the corner when you turn left on the main road that leads you to the scenic area entrance). Very affordable hotel.
Cons : if you wish to be in a hotel inside the forest surrounded by nature, it isn't the right place to be in. There is no view from the window and it is not in the scenic area.

The boss was very nice and even let us stay for a few more hours at a low price during the typhoon. The room was clean and soundproofed.
