This is a beautiful place and well worth the money Tip All the buildings need to be removed in 22 years so everything is modular But it’s still very special Food / cleanliness / staff - nothing to fault The area is enclosed so you can walk safely ( zebras run freely ) Sunsets are amazing

I booked Spitzkoppen Lodge after seeing glowing reviews from influencers, but unfortunately, I felt the price didn’t match the value provided. While the setting was undeniably stunning, the overall experience fell short of expectations. The welcome was brief, with little information provided about the lodge’s activities unless I asked directly, and there weren’t many options available. We stayed for one night and two days, which felt sufficient. The restaurant staff was professional, but the food was average—our springbok dish was disappointingly dry. The rooms were clean but lacked air conditioning, making the daytime heat almost unbearable. Additionally, there’s no WiFi in the rooms—only in the restaurant/reception area—and the rooms are a 5-10 minute walk away. The starry night sky was a highlight, but we couldn’t see the Milky Way due to both overcast weather and the moon’s brightness—something to check before your visit. Activities didn’t feel worth the cost. The lodge’s bushman paintings tour departs at 4:30 PM, which we missed. Instead, we visited on our own and tipped a guide at the entrance for a quick 10-minute tour. When we inquired about the sundowner activity, we were advised it wouldn’t offer much beyond the views from the drive into the resort. In December, wildlife was sparse—we only spotted a few zebras. The heat also limits activities to early morning or late evening. While the location has its charm, the lack of convenience and value left me underwhelmed.

The lodge is located at the foot of peak Spitzkoppe which is approx 1700 meter high. The lodge is in reserved park and has a good infrastructure built with tune with ecology and landscape. Bushman’s visit revealed some rock paintings and the highlight was the stone Arch, one of the most photographed object in Namibia. The staff was extremely helpful and efficient and took good care of the guests. Only negative item was the weather, since the tented residences are not aircooled or airconditioned, it was very very hot in the tents. However the lounge which has almost always cross ventilation and we spent the afternoons in the lounge

One of the most beautiful lodge I stayed in my trips in Namibia. Our chalet was very nice with a lovely view on the mountains. Landscape is stunning. The chalets are set close to the strange rocks around. Restaurant is very good, we had all meals there, it is fine dining style. Staff is very kind, it was a pleasure to talk to the ladies at restaurant. We had the complimentary drive for 2-night stayers and enjoyed it very much thanks to our guide Petrus. It was a very good choice to spend there 2 nights so we could have the lodge drive, self-drive and a walk.

This is a simply wonderful hotel. It is miles from anywhere and very peaceful. Accommodation is very comfortable and well serviced given the logistics of the location. Meals were very nice, but not high cuisine, and staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Rooms aren’t air conditioned but, given the cool desert nights this wasn’t a problem. A variety of on site activities are provided and we very much enjoyed the 2 hour evening drive/walk which took in a number of sights either on, or adjacent to, the lodge grounds. They also have a number of animals on site, including a small group of zebra. Sitting close to the pool and restaurant whilst watching the sunset was a perfect way to end the day.

We booked 2 of the 15 tented chalets through Expert Africa and got to stay at Nr 14 & 15 at the far end of the lodge area. Golf carts take you there if you do not fancy walking. Wonderful privacy, the sites are separated with larger rocks and you feel alone in that desert environment, with just the rock dassies roaming the boulders. We really enjoyed our 3 nights stay and the activities. Food is good, nice pool and the sundowners from the sofas deposited at the top of the mountain nearby the common area are spectacular. We climbed one of the mountains with our guide Beni and toured bushmen paintings with our guide Abraham. Special mention for the kindness of the staff and the owners. The tented chalet and the common area are of a special style. Everything is build from metallic beams and tented, to comply with the temporary nature of the lodge. We can recommend.

Situated on the side of a granite outcrop the location of the lodge is unsurpassed. The chalets are scattered at the base of the outcrops, towards the rising sun, pretty isolated from each other and a fair walk to the dinning and reception area which has a fabulous outlook to the west and the setting sun. The chalets have hard walls and a canvas roof and air flow negates the need for air conditioning. The beds are comfortable and we slept well with no noise whatsoever but the chalet does move a bit when walking around. The meals were included and excellent and the staff so friendly and helpful. Plenty of area to explore in your own vehicle. Loved our stay and highly recommend to anyone else.

Wow! What a stunning location! The chalets were nicely appointed and we sure appreciated that they had a big fan. Awesome charging facilities and great deck facing West to the sunset. The pool is stunning.. Set into the rock (we liked to call it the Human Watering Hole). Lovely staff and food. While we enjoyed the sundowner game drive, it felt like the Guides were less than helpful for those who were slower walkers or couldn't spot the wildlife right away. Still enjoyed our stay and the golf cart rides over the hill. Would highly recommend.
