Third or fourth time we have stayed here but a little disappointed this time. We were given a room on the third floor which was not as nice as others we had stayed in. More of an attic room with high up windows with a view of a balistrade. Bathroom was ok but no power at all in the over bath shower and breakfast was fine but self service and at £173 a night would have expected better. Stay again? Yes but would ask for a room on another floor.

Our Hereford Blackfriars Street hotel is in a great location for exploring this historic market town. It's next to Hereford's Old Market shopping centre, where you can shop for plenty of high street brands, and less than a five-minute walk from Edgar Street stadium - the home of Hereford FC. Hereford is a major historical site; the 17th Century Black and White House Museum and the world's largest medieval map, the Mappa Mundi, are both under a mile away from our hotel. When you're feeling peckish, stop by our in-house Thyme restaurant for a delicious meal and when you're done for the day, look forward a relaxing sleep on one of our super-comfy Hypnos beds.

Breakfast is very good. The chef orders it now: omelet, shredded cheese, vegetables, mushrooms, etc. It's great. Other kinds of bread, fresh juice coffee tea. Meat has sausages, bacon. Peach apple, cantaloupe, pineapple and other fruits, a kind of Danone fruit yoghurt. All in all, including early value

Another great stay at The Pilgrim, our fourth visit. A wonderful welcome, really friendly staff & very good breakfast with lots of selection. Saturday night was a bit noisy due to there being birthday parties but the noise died at midnight. A special mention must go to Sarah the breakfast waitress, she was truly wonderful, a real ray of sunshine in the mornings. She really was the icing on the cake of our stay! Even though The Pilgrim is situated very close to a busy main road the hotel itself is an oasis of peace, a great place to stay.
